Nothing really new from the meeting tonight other than the show this season is going to be difficult and “different”. They are gearing up for something big and interesting though…

With 4A and 5A not having an upper state performance the week before, it is possible we see some new SC faces at Johnson City since it is now an open weekend. Bands like Dutch Fork, Lucy Beckham, Travelers Rest, York Comp., Easley ect. Maybe even Nation Ford or CR. Oh, that's why I'm seeing more SC bands at Johnson City that's great. Yes I’d say so!! Although many schedules are still outstanding from SC bands right now so we’ll see how the cookie really crumbles

May I ask if JFB is going to BOA Johnson City? Bands like Dutch Fork, Lucy Beckham, Travelers Rest, York Comp., Easley ect. Maybe even Nation Ford or CR. Olde English (Rock Hill) FoB, WCU ToB and Johnson City BoA will definitely have the attention of some 4A and 5A band directors that aren't planning day camps on the 19th before State.

Will be interesting to see how it unfolds

For all who knew Bryan Bone, he lost his battle with colon cancer tonight. I knew him pretty well and thoughts go out to his family.

Read that he led five different programs to state championships in five different classes, which is honestly nuts.

I met him at Boiling Springs for Palmetto in 2013, great guy. And yes, winning every championship in every class is wild!! Not sure anyone will ever achieve that.
