Shows I would love to see...
1. Dark Side of the Wall - a Pink Floyd Mashup
2. Anything that incorporates They Might Be Giants... particularly from the album Flood.
3. Legit question... had anyone ever done the Gerry Rafferty Baker Street sax solo?

Is there a rule against using a projector? If not, I surprised there hasn't been a show using one or more.

I have a suggestion for Hebron.
Building off of playing “After the Love Has Gone,” by Earth, Wind & Fire, they should play “Run to You,” by Whitney Houston for their ballad 😍 Similar feel and it would be spectacular!

I really like that marching arts through the years idea. That's ripe for drumcorps to pull off and it's a shame it hasn't been to my knowledge.

I’m the 2020 Covid show castle high school had all the drum line come into the front ensemble and play with them. Where is a link I would like to see this show up in a true competition season
Edit: I want to see how the community would react to this and if it was truly viable in competition or was it just a cool thing that the drums did. Also want to see how it would score

A show called "Evolution" - The band starts in the endzone and moves to the center of the field (early 1970s style). - They perform a section of symmetrical drill centered on the 50 yard line with the guard in military attire. - They then transition to asymmetrical drill and the guard ditches the military look for an artistic look. - Props, electronics and vocalization then appear. - The show then ends in the style that is common today. New Philadelphia's 2015 show, celebrating the band's centennial year, made a partial attempt at something like this, with a subset of the band in a traditional uniform of year's past, playing a Sousa march, who then joined the rest of the group in modern garb by the show's end. It didn't really work, but I appreciated the concept.

Legit question... had anyone ever done the Gerry Rafferty "Baker Street" sax solo? Not quite what you're seeking, but Beavercreek did a Pink Floyd- Wizard of Oz mashup in 2019. I think it was titled "Another Brick in the Road." They also did a Pink Floyd show in 2010. I was in a high school senior when Flood came out and wouldn't have known of the album's or the band's existence if not for my younger sister, whose pop music tastes ran relatively eclectic and obscure -- and They Might Be Giants were getting no mainstream airplay at the time. My musical interests were pop from the 1960s and earlier, and so what jumped out at me was TMBG's cover of the 1953 Four Lads tune, "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)," with which I was very familiar. I've long hoped to see a band perform "Birdhouse in Your Soul." The other album she had that I remember hearing a lot of was Negativland's Escape from Noise, but there's not much there that could be adapted for marching band. Although it would be interesting to see Sycamore H.S. could find a way to present "Sycamore."

Not trying to derail the thread, but this was my son's freshman year. I'll always remember the first time I saw this show at an exhibition (first ever live high school marching band event) and getting a small taste of what Castle's marching band program was actually like. Before that I had just heard about Castle's band but never experienced it.
