Per Charlotte, the Panthers new owner has been making some noise about wanting to build a new stadium (BofA Stadium opened in 1996). I don't know how serious the talk is as there doesn't seem to be much public support for providing tax dollars to fund it. But if it does happen in the next few years it would probably have a retractable roof. As far as current venues in the Charlotte area...I don't know that BofA Stadium is viable. The Panthers have always held a pretty tight grip on what other events are held there and it's pretty much limited to big college football and international soccer games. I doubt renting the stadium would be financially viable for BOA. UNC Charlotte has a nice stadium with an artificial turf field. However I don't know that the stadium really has the necessary home-side seating capacity for a 30+ band show. Parking would also be a major issue for both bands and spectators. There is also Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, where Nightbeat (Carolina Crown's home show) used to be held. It would be an all-around logistical nightmare though.
I still think Wake Forest U is the best venue in the Carolinas for a BOA show. Hopefully they will return there someday.

Plenty of space for everything and seating capacity is big enough, beautiful stadium, it’s just a great all around package

Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte is grass. A marching band competition there is a definite non-starter.

The southeast IMO will be the most attractive region to have a new Super. Like many other's have said, Orlando would be the prime spot, but I also wonder if a Super would be successful if it was held around Charlotte, if there are any indoor stadiums in that area? That's quite a ways for FL/AL/MS bands to travel, but from what I've seen (granted, I just started following BOA two years ago) NC/SC have a ton of bands that regularly participate in BOA, and GA/VA are within reasonable distance. Also, I remember seeing that BOA used to hold a regional in Morgantown, WV, but after the early 2000s they stopped holding one there. Being a native WV, I'm curious as to why? Was it small turnout, logistic problems, not enough interest? I know that it would definitely attract a lot of the PA/NY/OH/MD bands, but there are also some WV bands that are beginning to partake in BOA events again (we've had Cabell Midland attend GN the past 3 years and Hurricane is attending GN this year, and have had bands make it up to semifinals back in the 90s), and I'm sure with a regional that close to home it would really help boost the marching arts in a state that is seeing a resurgence of school music programs. Not trying to sound snobby or anything, just genuinely curious about the Morgantown Regional's disappearance haha Fun fact, apropos of nothing: Lassiter brought 2 marching bands (which they did for several years) to the 2001 Morgantown regional. Lassiter won, beating a very good Kiski Area that year, Lassiter II placed 19th.

And there might be another new WV band joining the BOA ranks next year... And that would be... ? If I could divulge, I would. Want to wait until it’s official (and if the Lynchburg regional comes back...)
