I don’t know how I feel about this DB show yet… It’s still early, lots of time for changes and growth (although they’re pretty clean already).

Guess I'm on the other end bc I absolutely enjoyed DBs show! Their costuming is great too! I may just need to watch it again, stream could have been bad too. They looked and sounded really clean, just not quite my cup of coffee yet. But very excited to see the end product in November

I don’t know how I feel about this DB show yet… Being a dairy farming family it’s hard to say, mad cow disease? 🐄 I want to like it but I don’t understand it. Cows are not captive wild animals like the title “menagerie” implies.

Estill missing finals is beyond disappointing to me. I'm actually quite dismayed.
EDIT: I know some of you take this with some degree of sarcasm, but I genuinely am dismayed.

CONGRATULATIONS EVANSVILLE NORTH! So many undervalued them, even though they were the reigning champions for this regional! They showed the national circuit that we should keep an eye on them leading into Indy Super Regionals! LETS GO TEAM INDIANA

Lambert and Dobyns with a tie for music… with Dobyns then beating Lambert by 5.25?! I think the judges ate the best dinner of their lives during their break - something is NOT adding up 😳

A very obvious one is forming with North. I don’t think they’ll be underestimated anymore. Congrats to all involved!

Recaps up. Looks like music individual was the deciding factor

Combine a good designer with a school with good resources, good leadership and strong socioeconomics you can usually build something. Throw in the backing of a 23k kid school corp where the assistant superintendent for fine arts is the Phantom Regiment director they have resources unavailable to most Indiana Class B/BOA AA bands.

Very interesting… The music individual judge had some VERY high scores compared to the music ensemble judge. For example, North actually had the highest music individual with a 17.20, but their ensemble was 15.70. They were only .05 away from also tying music. Lambert had the 3rd LOWEST visual score, 14.05. If they score reflected their placement, they would’ve finished with 77.5, placing them in 3rd by a comfortable margin.

Lambert having poor visual scores is more bizarre considering their band director is the VCH at Crown...

Lambert having poor visual scores is more bizarre considering their band director is the VCH at Crown... Especially considering both vis judges had them fairly low. It's not just a case of a judge giving a one-off score.

Lambert having poor visual scores is more bizarre considering their band director is the VCH at Crown... This is not an abnormality. Lambert was the best playing band today by a wiiiiiiiiiiiiide margin. They also did not have much to offer up visually.
