Surprising for some omissions. No Round Rock and no Castle even in the next 10. Wild. Also Union not in the top 33. And I thought we might see Fishers in at least the next 10. Justify yourself, man!

Keep in mind a lot of these rankings are essentially the same ones from the last 2018 ranking. The IM.com polls were of the same variety, where most bands will usually hold onto their position the year before. The real beef will be in Week 2 of BOA... snark away then.
The only major movement I can see is LD Bell from 28 to 23.

Sorry, have to take some issue with the methodology there. Limiting to who attended a SR and/or GN means some who would definitely be in small class top X lists get left out.
Can you say for certain that Central Crossing, Greendale, Father Ryan, etc warrant inclusion while a Loveland is left out because they didn't do a BOA show in 2018 or recent semifinalist Bassett because they didn't travel to a "big" event? They'd both be in the top 10 AA groups, for me.
Or that a perennial regional class champ in Montezuma-Cortez is less deserving than, say, Union City or North East because they "only" went to the closest regional available (still over 6 hour bus ride)? A is especially tough to gauge quality versus names we all recognize.
Just a few in a number of examples

I never said that my list was above reproach, nor did I say it was complete. I would like to point out that I did include bands outside GN and SR. I didn’t have time to review past last year and really think about them. And, I simply laid out some candidates and did not attempt to rank them because I thought it would engender some reasonable conversation. So let us have a conversation.

That's all I was saying It's a lot more complicated than just pulling whoever finished well at a few select events. When I have time (read: not while at work ) I'd love to go through several years' worth of results sheets (BOA and local circuit) and see what names pop up consistently across the board. I mean, obviously Adair County is going to be at or very near the top of the A list. But just how good are they relative to others of similar school size? AA might be even harder than A because there are definite finalists like Tarpon Springs in there, but a lot of groups just on the semifinals bubble every year, some getting in while others miss out (looking at you Greendale) and it fluctuates every year.

Until the band competes some of them are still questionable for which classification they are. BOA doesnt release that info as far as I know.
