I don’t think I saw one yet, so here’s the thread for Michigan-based shows in 2024

The official MCBA Flight chart will be released Sept 2nd.
Some changes; Dakota and Fruitport are not competing in MCBA this season.
New bands to compete in MCBA are: East Lansing, Ionia and Buchanan.
Grand Ledge and Jenison will be near the Flight I/Flight II cut off. Grand Ledge looks most likely to be in Flight I with Jenison remaining in Flight II
Rockford and Walled Lake look to have enrollment increases (not sure if this will boost them to Class 4A in BOA).

Jenison is landlocked and enrollment has stayed pretty consistent over the last several years. I’m surprised to hear they are so close to the I/II cutoff.

Jenison is landlocked and enrollment has stayed pretty consistent over the last several years. I’m surprised to hear they are so close to the I/II cutoff. The Huron Valley merger and Dakota dropping out has decreased the number of larger schools. A few years back, West Bloomfield also stopped competing. Looks like they are also expanding the number of Flight I bands to 11. Many other long time MCBA participating programs have also seen stagnant or declining enrollment. It seems that most areas of the state experiencing population growth dont have programs competing at MCBA level yet. The district that Dakota is in was one of the fastest growing in the state, but now Dakota is taking a year off MCBA.
