Green Hope has Oct 12th listed as a possible competition day. Yep, they’re in the rumored list.

I think for the first time since 2014 we’re going to skip the “Carolina regional” (TN regional) this year. It’s just so far for a day trip from SC. I think we’re going to finally try and attend WCU Toc because it’s just so much closer and the lineup looks about as good if not better.

Can't be because Byrnes only went twice. Sounds like Fort Mill.

It would be an absolute shame to not see Fort Mill there. Considering FM is one of the Carolina regional’s “founders” (with DB, Green Hope, Bassett, and Cary also getting that title) it’s a shame not to see them come back. Plus, FM makes the competition so much better.
Would Nation Ford come? And better yet, would they be the NaFo we know and love with the director change happening?

Bassett will be in the top 5 probably top 3... there is a large contingent of SC 3A and 4A bands that are all about the same level: Easley 4A Champion White Knoll 4A runner up York Comp. 4A bronze Chapin Ninety Six 1A Dutch Fork 4A Dorman 5A

If I had to guess, I'd imagine the groupings for the top half of finals will go something like this...
Dobyns-Bennett ---------------- Kennesaw Mountain ---------------- Lafayette ---------------- Bassett Green Hope Russell County ----------------
All of these bands are a shoo-in for at least sixth. Also, the class champions at this show will probably be interesting. AAAA will probably be Green Hope - don't really see much competition for them there. AAA should be Dobyns-Bennett with KM second. AA has Bassett, Cleveland, and Russell County - Bassett and Russell County (to my knowledge) have never competed against one another, so that one's a bit of a tough call. As far as I know of, Cleveland has only beaten Bassett once in 2014, which was the worst year for that programs since their return to BOA the year prior. That said, I'd bet on Russell County winning AA at least at this point. I assume A will go to 96 but we'll see.
Really excited for this one! I will be in attendance at my first BOA regional in a long while so this should be a good time!

Anyone know what DB is up to this year? About 8 feet? Sorry, as a dad, contractually obligated to make jokes of such nature.

Had a chance to see Green Hope. I don't know how they'll do. Definitely smaller, guessing maybe 120 or 125 or so but that's very rough as a guess. They were maybe 160 last year. From what I saw I'd say making finals may be their aspiration
On a related note, Panther Creek looks to be maybe 165 from a picture I saw. They were over 200.

I doubt green level opened with seniors. Catawba Ridge did not. They only have 40-50 winds. Fort Mill is around 160 as well, Nation Ford I think 140? Quite a substantial drop for these districts.
