I'm not sure that Prosper works for me. They sound excellent, but I really don't get the show.

Prosper was fantastic! Great sound, nice use of props, love the color palette of the show. Some of those releases were sooooo good.

Prosper! They are the first band fighting for Finals that I didn't feel like really laid it down, but I also don't think highly emotional performances have ever really been Prosper's style - they always just kind of do their thing and perform consistently, which is of course great too. Performance was maybe a bit looser than I anticipated, but I could still easily see them in or out of Finals, I don't know if I would be surprised either way. They are an outstanding group. Also lots of other outstanding groups today. Who knows!

I enjoyed Prospers music book but overall would rank them on the low end visually compared to the other top 22 bands we have seen so far.

Agreed, I don’t see a reality where that keeps them out of finals though

It was a good show, so we'll see. Took a while to build but finished strong. Not sure where I would place them at this stage of the game.

This seems to be a pretty low energy run from Tarpon, no? Or am I crazy? 

Also while their individual sections & soloists sound GREAT, and their full ensemble is clean clean clean, I don't love their full ensemble sound. It's lacking depth.

Hmm. I liked Tarpon better in Prelims, but maybe they'll turn it on tonight. I really want to like that show more than I do. I don't love the music book. It's constructed like it wants to be chockfull of energy, but seems to have very little forward momentum. Overall, I feel like I see pieces of that show more than the whole; doesn't seem to come together in one grand package.

Tarpon’s performance felt pretty conservative, but slayed nonetheless

Tarpon is my favorite band nationwide due to some of their shows over the past 10 years. And this was a great show too, though not my favorite. I didn’t understand the show - presumably the sound effects were Indian (sitar, singing, Led Zeppelin Kashmir), but I don’t understand how that tied in to the props (pyramids are Egyptian?) or the multicolored lights on their quads etc.

Either way the tarpon BOA formula is alive and well and they’ll score very well again. Lots of glitz and flash, fun and wild show, performed reasonably well.

They may not win music caption, but they sure as hell are taking visual & ge!! I love this new gen Tarpon so much

Better than pre-lims I thought. They are saving the best for last.

This is obviously personal preference, but the Tarpon Springs band is so amazing. Why distract from the work the kids are doing with all that piped in noise? The focus should be on the incredible performance of the kids on the field.
