I need Mason to get in on the trend of finding their stride and pull ahead. They’re consistent, but I need a push. Give me more shows with GE like Odyssey. Maybe now that Wes is no longer with BA, we may see them get more fleshed out show design? Idk, but this alum needs more 😂😂 I’d like to see both Mason and Brownsburg find a new show designer tbh… I think it would help them both.

Shoutout Brownsburg placing 17th after performing so early and jumping out of the next 8. Well deserved and hope to see them back in finals next year.

Avon absolutely deserved it! This has to be one of my favorite GN's I've ever witnessed. All the bands were fantastic! I'm especially excited, as a BA fan, that it looks like the future of the program is in good hands even without Cartwright.

81.475 in Prelims to a 75.65 in Semis... Beating every other A band considerably in prelims. I quit.

I personally would love to see Mason take on the Ventos. They have the visual chops so to speak to pull that off The other part of me wonders if Mason could get the best of Wes going forward. Only time will tell I guess

Avon and Carmel often take the top spots at Grand Nationals because they are very talented bands that are able to attend every year. You would see more variety in winners/medalists if every Avon/Carmel caliber band in the United States was able to attend every year, but most bands are limited to a 2, 3, or 4 year cycle, if they're lucky. Pair that with the fact that bands might end up with one of their weaker shows on a Grand Nationals year and you'll understand why things might seem more skewed towards bands closer to Indianapolis. What actual reason would MFA have to rig Grand Nationals?? "We hate money, forwarding children's musical education opportunities, and building a good reputation as an organization" said no one ever.

No reasonable person said it was rigged. The stuff you mentioned does make it seem more like The Indianapolis Super Duper Regional than Grand Nats tho.

Correct, nobody reasonable is saying that it is rigged. But there are people saying it is rigged, so I am addressing it. I have a feeling that whatever location you host this event at would turn it into the "(location) Super Duper Regional."
