I missed DB in prelims, but wow what a finals performance! The artistry is so high level! I had my concerns throughout the season but those have been firmly put to rest

So this is my first year as a band dad and my wife as a band, mom. We have been here in Indianapolis for the last three days. This is the most amount of stress I have ever felt in my life, and I can’t even imagine what my son is going through.
Everybody has been great and it’s amazing to read your guys’s comments because we don’t know what we’re looking for.
My son marches for American Fork and this is so cool to see them finally get to finals and it’s the first time since 1995.
Hopefully here in the next 15 minutes, they perform to the best of their abilities, which I know they will.

DB was fantastic!! I have to wonder if the guard girls left their face paint on between semis and finals…?

You do realize most of the open class corps practice on weekends only? Yes, that's true for some. And may I ask, what is your level of awareness of the limitation I referenced? Not really the thread for this pointless comparison. Enjoy finals. |

Dobyns has one of my favorite metaphorical shows. If you choose to pay attention, you can gain so much from it. Very well performed, and has cleaned up greatly since early season since people considered it to be… a weaker show. What a cleanup!

That ending is visually spectacular. Wowed! Very impressive stuff from Bridgeland, so glad they made finals! A very fun show and good players.

Beautiful job Bridgeland! I’m a sucker for an impactful guard moment, and that last bit with the butterflies got me! Congrats on your first ever GN finals appearance!

Honestly, Bridgeland, that was absolutely spectacular. Leander, Castle, & D-B brought pure passion and Bridgeland brought pure precision. I stated in my GN rundown just prior to this weekend that if Bridgeland made the splash they intended to make here, then that would easily catapult them into being the next Texas powerhouse along with Pearland, and I absolutely stand by that statement. And they made that splash this weekend. There's no going back for Bridgeland, I think they are going to move forward with the big dogs in Texas. I am beyond impressed with what this band brought to Finals tonight. They earned every bit of their performance this evening and I believe will make a push for a single digits placement.

Wow that Castle clarinet soloist was amazing! Also finally got to see their uniforms up close on multi-cam. I honestly had no idea they were wearing purple berets until now and those black cloaks are so shiny. Fantastic show overall from Castle this year; i think visual design has improved a lot from what I remember from them in the past and they still play fabulously and with power Connor(clarinet) is a special musician! He’s very talented! |
