HOLY ******* **** BROKEN ARROW!!!!! They really threw down a show and said to the rest of the top 6, "Here's the bar. Try to reach it." What a spectacular performance! Personally, this is my favorite Broken Arrow show ever. I hope it wins, but even if it doesn't, what a way to usher in a new era at Grand Nats! Well done, Pride of Broken Arrow! This is #2 for me (nothing can top 2006 for me personally).

BROKEN ARROW!! Live 10 minutes from the school and love them so much I had to follow them to Indy! What a PERFORMANCE!! Saved the best for last. I think that has a fantastic shot at bringing the Eagle back to OK. Either way, what an emotional, beautiful, exposed performance. BRAVO!

Broken Arrow, that was an absolute treat. Pure gold. I want to bottle that sound and eat it or wear it or turn it into a candle. They look & sound like a championship band. I think the show takes a read or two to appreciate, but this was my third read of it, and I absolutely loved it! What an amazing, amazing performance.
I also can't help but wonder if doing a show about the first woman to sail unassisted around the world coincides too nicely with Kelli Pence stepping into the role as the first female head director at BA after having been there for a few years. If so, how cool! Either way, I think this weekend has signaled nothing but continued success under her leadership, and maybe even openness to new territories.

I’m right in the ‘splash zone’ for getting a good musical read and my dudes (and dudettes), that was SOOOO good! It’s when I hear a run like that played to practical perfection for what they have given doesn’t win Music. But maybe they will tonight!

There's a lot words left unsaid and many tears felled. Incredible, BA.

Perhaps other Cartwright bands will soon realize there may be better ways to achieve success.

Is there any marching and playing in the BA show??? Every year this tiresome garbage gets posted about this great band or that great band.

Perhaps other Cartwright bands will soon realize there may be better ways to achieve success. As if Avon, Carmel, and other top bands haven’t already demonstrated that…?

First time BA mom here... I feel like the bar has been set so high... I don't know how we'll ever top that run, but I'm happy to be around for 3 more years to find out!! Thank you all for the kind words... we don't always get that reception in local competitions.

I’m not a huge fan of Carmel’s show, but I hope the judges give them huge props for extensive simultaneous playing and marching.

Okay Box5, just because I’m watching the multi-cam, it doesn’t mean I want ZERO high cam

A great show from Carmel. I still feel their music hurts them since it’s very discombobulated and a little all over. Played very well tonight, through! Visually this is definitely more than most years, but still nothing truly out there. Nonetheless, Carmel had a great show tonight! Box5 I’m sure picked out parts that I wasn’t meant to hear, but I’ve got to give the edge to Broken Arrow. A close race, but show-wise BA takes the cake!

Aside from music, the Carmel train might be hitting a BA speed bump this year IMO.

I haven’t been sold on Carmel’s show this season but their signature “orchestral” sound and simple yet effective drill writing is undeniable and is absolutely keeping them in contention for gold.

I'm always left in awe of how well the kids at Carmel execute such demanding music, and it's no different with Bartok tonight! Spectacular job, Carmel!

Carmel is consistent. Solid. Powerful. I just feel when watching BA, you sense they have it everything they had. The energy was amazing. I think Carmel just didn't drop it the same for finals. Slight edge BA.

Caught bits and pieces of BA and most of Carmel. BA sounds incredible, and they are doing Texas Loud better than lots of Texas groups. Carmel is just precision.

Broken Arrow - there's a lot that has already been said in this thread. Something that still awes me is the level of professionalism and buy in they get from their performers is inspiring. I don't feel like I'm watching high school kids when I watch them perform. The pace of the show is brilliant. They are taking a bit of a different path now, but that show still felt like Broken Arrow.
Carmel - I appreciate that they still show up in their normal uniforms and march and play their tail off. It is not my favorite Carmel show design, but the performance level is incredible. Winds, Guard, Percussion. All phenomenal.

The good thing about this gnf is if you’re a fan of symphony 1&2 you can hear it twice. I missed prosper so this is a treat.
