Wow, Carmel! It may not be the crowd fav, but how can you argue against that precision? Flawless execution, and a full bodied concert sound. I wouldn't write Carmel's epitaph as a medal contender just yet!

Completely disagree... If anything this was Carmels best of the season. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion...

Every band has been great, but every “top 6” group so far has really been on another level tonight. Incredible stuff.

Whatever results may be, I have to give kudos to Carmel for their consistency in high quality music performance, while playing maybe the 2nd most difficult book on average (Marian Catholic...). I'd love to see them win after the disappointment of last year, but I'll let the judges decide that.

Carmel's show would be a nightmare to clean and I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. No way I or anyone I know wants to polish that all season. Runs & virtuosity I can beat to death and it all starts & ends on downbeats and is generally scalular or chromatic. But Carmel this year (and recent years)...not a chance in hell. Insane musical details that are 100% exposed and don't work unless they're nailed. Tons of tiny tempo changes. Exposed dissonant chords. Getting kids to buy into a show that NEEDS buy-in to polish but isn't flashy or particularly accessible. A tedious process that would take all season. Rubato tempos with 250 kids. Give me Tarpon's virtuosic runs and a gock block all day. Carmel's music book? Never in a million years. 

Listen hard when comparing Carmel with anyone else. Hebron, Tarpon, BA, Avon, doesn't matter. No one at the moment can do what Carmel can do. Not saying they win tonight or that it's even my favorite show of theirs, but they were totally captivating tonight, and no one matches them at the moment in terms of symphonic ability. Such a beautiful run, Carmel!

I do love me some dark shows and Cedar Park was able to serve me up a nice HOT plate them cooking one! Plus them playing Sweeney Todd? YES PLEASE!

This Mason show gives a lot of Broken Arrow 2010 Zo vibes combined with that year Cedar Park played a lot of the same music book

Watching this Mason show on multi-cam is shocking—that’s a LOT of effort into the small details on costuming and props! Cartwright sure likes those specific shades of yellow and blue😂

I much prefer this mason show to last year! It’s so fun. The rabbit queen was a bit…. Off putting to me and a bit out there, but I get it!
Fun to see the same shades of blue and yellow being represented so differently tonight in finals!
