I think I remember someone posting awhile back that CTJ was confirmed for 2025. I remember that too but in my notes their name had an asterisk next to them, so I don’t think they were 100% confirmed yet.

I don't think we really know how CTJ will or won't attend in a post-Lipman world. I do wonder if their recent struggles in the Texas scene might make them consider a pause on going to Nats every other year.

I don’t know who is going. But im posting it now. Kevin will finally be staying in the not so great state of Missouri next year and the music caption will go to a 4th place Texas band like a previous year.

Vandegrift is very overdue for a return, I still remember all the hype for the Vandy/Avon showdown in 2019 they are going to Hawaii for Spring Break. I don’t know if they would do another expensive trip so soon after but who knows.

Wow, if I hadn’t have just found that out, I would’ve thought they’d attended in the past. Very cool!

I think I remember someone posting awhile back that CTJ was confirmed for 2025. I wish they’d take a break. The program is clearly struggling and piling a nationals trip where they will miss finals doesn’t do much to build morale.

I agree they are in a tough few years of marching band, but I’m sure they will reassess and get things together. It’s Claudia Taylor Johnson after all!

They're definitely still trying to find a new identity since Lipman departed, but I think they'll be alright, even if they aren't at the same level we've seen them achieve in the past.

Went through a transition. Finished well out of finals one year. Came back and won GN 3 years later.

Off year for Tarpon Springs, plus they have a potential trip overseas. Where are they going?

How often do you think we'll see Vista Ridge at nats?

Would be great to see more than one California school make the trip! So many stellar groups out west - James Logan, Arcadia, Chino H.S., Vista Murrieta, Homestead….to name only a few.

Chino Hills needs to make the trip and go to more regionals - idk what is stopping them.
James Logan I think just hates BOA.

Similar to what has been said on these forums before, there is bad blood between the west (mainly California) and BOA. The books in California are usually very drum line oriented, and do not often score as well in BOA's system. I think that because of this, most groups don't feel it is worth it to go to a show where their efforts are not going to be reflected in their score. In addition, there is bad blood because of how BOA has handled shows out west, with cancellations and such. I also think it has something to do with the distance from the end goal in BOA. For many Cali groups, getting to Grand Nationals is a HUGE undertaking, and puts a lot of financial stress on families to pay the increased dues.
I am not an expert on all of this, and some of the better historians here can probably add to this/correct me, but that is what I have picked up.

In talking to a couple of friends out there, it depends on the districts ect. But yes there are some that absolutely cannot, but there are loop holes. So it depends on where you're at
