Love you Homestead! You did Fort Wayne proud! Best run of the season. The outcome is irrelevant tonight. Great season!

So happy for Homestead to have a great run to close out. I didn’t realize Kent Klee had written their music. To my knowledge he didn’t. Just arranger. That’d make more sense. Flo had “music by...”. But then yeah...Flo screen graphics.

Love you Homestead! You did Fort Wayne proud! Best run of the season. The outcome is irrelevant tonight. Great season! Yah. As an alum of one of Ft. Wayne's big bands of yesteryear, I was thinking, “Good to see the legacy continue in Homestead now”

Turning off un-bias mode and engaging homer more.
As a Homestead alum, I'm so happy for them. First and foremost for them making Grand National Finals. Secondly, I just wanted them to have a good run and they gave me so much more than I asked for. They really turned it up another level. It wasn't a perfect run musically, but for as hard as that book was for them, I'll take that any day of the week. It makes me so happy with how far this band has come, how it continues to evolve, and push the boundaries of what they may have thought possible before. Keep up the hard work. Your fan always, me!

I love seeing these finals performances when the students know it’s their last run and they just have fun and play their hearts out. Well done union! I could tell the kids loved playing that show

Those blue flags used in the ballad were spectacular!

Union was fine! A tighter musical run than Semis, I thought. I still think I would have preferred to see other shows instead of that one in Finals, but I did enjoy it more the second viewing.

Judging by the past few days' commentary, I may be in the minority, but I absolutely love that Union show and was glad to see it a third time this weekend.

I’m surprised that it stayed in the same spot the entire show.

Union, Love the music book and the guard. Not 100% sold on the show, but they perform it well and deserve to be playing tonight.
Round Rock, the kids are performing the hell out of what they are given. They have a wonderfully lush ensemble sound. The design of this show just seems to be lacking when compared to the 5 shows before them.

Well done, Round Rock! Beautiful, gorgeous, lush brass sounds that sounded like an organ in the closer. A very beautiful last performance!

I usually hate multi cam but I have decided to use it for these last 6 shows because I have seen them enough times that I know what they look like on high cam very well and havent seen them up close. Hope I don't regret it!

Thought Union and Round Rock were a little dirtier tonight. Have them at the bottom.

Hope I don't regret it! I'm doing the same. Quite enjoying the multicam for finals. Close-ups don't seem as bad as I was expecting, either.

I'm not expecting the bottom six to climb up. That being said, here's who I have in the bottom:
7. The Woodlands 8. William Mason 9. Homestead 10. Ayala 11. Round Rock 12. Union

Whoever earlier said the CTJ show would be better if it was just music for the lion king (and not the extra pieces) I think you’re totally right. Sometimes mixing music like that is just too difficult to achieve those varying styles and the effect is muted. Idk just my two cents

CTJ tonight is Northeast ISD’s first top half appearance since *2005*. Let’s hope CTJ brings it home!

Is it just me or did CTJ's arrangers fuse in some "Endless Love" by Lionel Richie into the Circle of Life ballad?

Sometimes mixing music like that is just too difficult to achieve those varying styles and the effect is muted. Idk just my two cents Me : ) I still stand by it. Imagine, First Circle, etc., while GREAT (esp first circle), are a little distracting and make the music book feel unfocused & lacking intent, in my opinion. The show really hits when it's on Lion King music. Everything else is just "in between".

But for some reason, this one isn't having that affect on me. I can see why you feel that way, but I think the reason I don't is because I'm not really a fan of most of the music from the Lion King.

CTJ is surely to be a fan favorite, especially with that theme. How did they get the rights, though?
Amazing performance musically, and there's a lot going on to see visually. I do think that visual dirt seems to be a theme for tonight, but overall everything fits with the show theme.
Solo break was a great highlight!

Well that just may be my favorite CTJ show yet, and that's coming from someone who LOVED Enigmatic and Forest Through the Trees.
I keep thinking that this show is unlike anything coming out of Texas, but in all reality it's unlike anything coming out of anywhere. It's just uniquely CTJ.
