I know the guys are incredibly busy with a million things going on this year, but was wondering if there had ever been a conversation about HornRank doing an end of the year "Class Rankings" in addition to the top 32? By my very rough estimation, 29 of the 32 bands in the rankings currently are AAAA bands, just as 24 of the top 30 at semis and 11 of the 12 at finals were. 20 of the top 21 at San Antonio, 11 of the 14 finalists at the Indy Super and 10 of the 14 at Indy were as well, so it might be fun to give a little love to the bands in the smaller classes that also achieve amazing things.
Just a thought, love the site.

The original intention of the Top 30 Rankings was to provide a likely list of semifinalists in the hypothetical situation where every single band comes to Grand Nationals. Thus, a 4-deep rankings by class makes since in order to accommodate the class-rep semifinalists. Here's my stab at it:
Class AAAA
1. Vandegrift, TX 2. Ronald Reagan, TX 3. Avon, IN 4. Hebron, TX
Class AAA
1. Leander, TX 2. Blue Springs, MO 3. Dobyns-Bennett, TN 4. Lafayette, KY
Class AA
1. Tarpon Springs, FL 2. Marian Catholic, IL 3. North Hardin, KY 4. Miamisburg, OH
Class A
1. Bourbon County, KY 2. Estill County, KY 3. Beechwood, KY 4. Norton, OH

Norton, OH Norton is arguably not even the best Class A band in Ohio (top three for sure, though, and they probably have a stronger case this year than most other years), and if one could actually watch all the hundreds of Class A competing bands from across the country, they might not finish in the top ten.
(I mean, if we're talking about a hypothetical situation where the thousands of competing bands were all at Grand Nationals.)

I also wonder if Cedar Park might be top 3 in AAA. They did just win 5A state in Texas. Not saying they should, but I wonder.

Using OHSAA's enrollment figures (which show grades 9-11 not 10-12), I see that of the 816 Ohio high schools listed, Norton is the 224th largest, i.e., there are some 592 smaller schools. They are about as large as a BOA Class A school can be.
Ada, for instance, is one-third Norton's size.
(Also, Ohio's smallest high school has just one student: I presume the district--Kelley's Island--actually has K-12 all in one building, and possibly one room.)
Is that also true of other Class A schools that do well in BOA? How big are the three that beat Norton on Saturday?

Thanks. In OMEA (based on grades 10-12), Beechwood would just barely be large enough for Class B (301-500); Estill Co. would just barely be small enough for Class B, and Bourbon Co. would be Class A (501-900); they're apparently a little larger than Norton.
