With the confirmation via The Dome of America’s Center’s website that the St. Louis Super Regional is October 16-17, I thought I’d start a thread for it.
Blue Valley Southwest H.S., KS has plans to attend.
And maaaayyyyyyyyybe a new Texas group that usually frequents Midland...

Very Likely Participants:
Bellevue West H.S., NE Blue Springs H.S., MO Camdenton H.S., MO Coppell H.S., TX (They have this listed on their band calendar already) Fort Zumwalt North H.S., MO Grain Valley H.S., MO Lincoln H.S., SD O'Fallon Township H.S., IL Union H.S., OK
Status Unknown:
Broken Arrow H.S., OK (Doing the Rose Parade and I can't see them skipping Grand Nationals 2 years in a row, sets up a 2012 scenario where they skipped St. Louis and did Grand Nats and the 2013 Rose Parade) Rosemount H.S., MN (Currently don't have this listed on their band calendar, might be forgoing this regional to do Grand Nationals)

I wanna say the Texas group that frequents Midland will be Timber Creek. Where they are right now as a group after their staff change, STL would be absolutely fantastic for them. They attended a few years ago, but missed finals. Really the only other likely group that is a frequent attender of Midland I think would be Permian, but from what I understand that will more than likely not happen based on their UIL focus next season.
Also I've heard from a member from a certain south Texas group on the rise that they could potentially be attending this competition...

I’m thinking Granbury or Wylie East. Very likely the latter.

I’m thinking Granbury or Wylie East. Very likely the latter. I'd definitely agree with Granbury or Weast, when I read frequents Midland, I honestly thought who has been all 3 years instead of just the past two. I've been a fan of Weast since 2018 when I first saw their show on stream, so I would be stoked to see them make the trip!

Interesting to see Coppell make the trip two years in a row, they’re looking for that medal for sure.
On the topic of a mystery Texan band I agree with previous replies that it might be Wylie East. They’ve had a strong season from what I heard, strong placements over at UIL and BOA wouldn’t be surprised if the directors used that momentum for a St Louis trip. I don’t know much else about their program but any band with momentum and ability to gather funds would consider the trip to Missouri it’s a smaller stage but it’s still a National one
My other guess was James Martin, but they said newer group so that leaves me hesitant to put their name on the table. I think they’ve attended before but not very recently which is another reason why I have my doubts but from what I’ve heard they frequent Midland, even medaling last year if I’m not mistaken

As a Timber Creek student in the band myself, I have not heard anything about us going to St. Louis as of yet, but still things could change for us.

I got Hebron or Marcus. Both repeatedly get undeserving placements at SA and both could do well (or even win) St. Louis

There's a big Texas name on the way. SA Finalist? If so, I'm going Flower Mound. 😖 I wasn't aware these kind of names would be thrown around like that! And no. The prestige isn't quite as high as the names thrown around, but it is a very comfortable finals pick in this field.
