I do not see Clark making finals in Area H it's tougher than ever if they make a state push it has to be an incredibly incredible improvement

I forgot entirely about Leander's move down and the up in spots it used to be three my apologies Clark could make finals then along with a lot of their north side counterparts with Leander moving down it opens up a state spot and with four spots that opens up another I think Westlake takes the third spot but the fourth spot is anyone's game I think Lake Travis and Brandeis are the most likely to take that fourth spot but it's anyone's game

Clark wasn't quite to that level, but they showed a lot of improvement last year and could surprise us this fall.

Very interested to see what Johnson does this year. I love seeing programs explode competitively in only their second year like we saw with Weiss and Vandegrift, and Reagan way back in 00. Could they be a surprise finalist??

Austin just enacted a 10 person maximum gathering ordinance that lasts through November 12th. Not sure how that will align with this regional.

Austin just enacted a 10 person maximum gathering ordinance that lasts through November 12th. Not sure how that will align with this regional. It all depends on how close together qualifies as a "gathering" as well as if the restriction applies to outdoor "gatherings" as well as indoor. UT-Austin will not be able to hold on-campus classes of any kind with a limit of 10 people. That would be the professor and nine students max. Very few classes (if any) would be qualified.

Austin just enacted a 10 person maximum gathering ordinance that lasts through November 12th. Not sure how that will align with this regional. Kelly Reeves is in Williamson County, not Travis. The order is for Travis. I assume that we will know more about all of this from Round Rock ISD on Friday.

And this came down from the city of Austin: austintexas.gov/sites/default/files/files/Health/2020.7.14%20Signed%20Notice%20of%20Emergency%20Rules%20and%20Final%20Health%20Authority%20Ru....pdfWith respect to the hypothetical, UT-Austin is in some form a “governmental entity” and could perhaps seek an exemption on that ground. At any rate, their classrooms were to be social distanced this fall anyway, which should get around the ban.

I am aware. I'm also aware that the stadium itself falls under county jurisdiction. I live here. I know. Round Rock ISD appears to be siding with whatever Travis County is doing. The district is sending out its final plans tomorrow.

Vandegrift has all but told us that we will not be doing any competitions this year. There's another meeting on Monday, and I expect it to be made official then.
To clear up the confusion about mandates in Austin right now, Travis County is not allowing any in-person school until September 8th. They have also prohibited any extracurricular activities and sports until in-person classes begin. So we can't even practice until Sept 8th at the earliest. I have a feeling that will be extended.

In regards to Round Rock ISD, this is from the KVUE website, "Due to Austin-Travis County order, Round Rock ISD, which has some schools in both Travis County and Williamson County, cannot allow extracurricular sports or activities until school systems reopen for on-campus instruction, which will last until at least Sept. 8."
