No way Hebron should have won in 2015 anyway, BA was too strong visually and they definitely had the best designed show there IMO. Wasn’t it LD bell who won from performing 2nd? The judges are smart. With that said I’m fine with top half bottom half, but no more groupings than that please. I’m also fine with Subito Fortissimo ’s rule if anyone wants to pitch that to MFA Reagan 2017 was the other band who jumped from 9th to 5th at SA. An epic and well deserved jump. You are correct about LD Bell. Marian Catholic also won from the 2nd performance slot in 1989. And FWIW, I agree with you about 2015. Hebron was incredible musically and deserved to win music even from the 1st slot. But Broken Arrow's show design, especially visually, and the execution of that design was clearly superior to my eyes and ears. But some people preferred Hebron, and that's ok!
