Going all the way back to 1995 when the website was bands.org and then through musicforall.org, I have seen plenty of times when the site was down for maintenance or updates, but never have I seen the domain expire. Yikes.

MFA website is back up now. I would guess they probably pay on a six month or yearly schedule and maybe whoever is responsible for re-upping that is furloughed.

I'm currently in the Columbus area for work and each morning there is an announcement of another district that is going virtual only for some period of time due to virus cases.
Note - in Ohio, most school districts are only one high school and its associated feeder schools and all the local districts I've seen doing this fall into this category. To date I have not heard of any larger districts making this move.

I think this is for in classroom only. I don't think extracurricular activities and Sports are included.

I think this is for in classroom only. I don't think extracurricular activities and Sports are included. That is correct. Close contact quarantines will still occur in settings where mask wearing is not practical such as lunch, band, choir, PE during the school day and during some extra-curricular activities. Of course, if you can abide by the 6β spacing rules in your non-masked activity, there will be no close contacts.
