Where there is Wes one will usually find Leon or Moreno! Or Hines!

Noblesville has Lucas Oil Stadium listed on their calendar, not The Dome. Safe to consider they're going to Indy Super instead.

Where there is Wes one will usually find Leon or Moreno! What Mark Moreno has done for William Mason and for Seven Lakes (and even Oregon Crusaders 2018)... he's one of the best kept secrets in all of pageantry!!

Here we go! 1. Broken Arrow (sweep) 2. Blue Springs 3. O'Fallon Township 4. Rosemount 5. Coppell 6. Camdenton 7. Bentonville 8. Prosper 9. Lincoln 10. Bixby 11. Mustang 12. Grain Valley 13. Fort Zumwalt North 14. Blue Springs South
Anybody know if Blue Springs is still in AAA? I feel like I saw something a while ago with them in AAAA but I'm not sure.

I haven’t had the chance to see them yet, but I’ve heard several opinions putting them in the top half

I can’t see that part of the Lake area growing that much. Camdenton HS would have to increase in size by about 350 students to be in AAA. Any population growth at the Lake will probably see their kids going to School of the Osage or Versailles, neither of which have a competitive band.

Carroll were a show I quite liked in 2019. Putting the Dance of the Earth on the field was awesome.

I think all 4 Texas bands and Union gets into finals. Most Texas bands that could really challenge Broken Arrow at this point of the season are usually trying to save up for a future Nationals trip or a current one. I remember when there was a rumor that Tarpon Springs or Carmel might turn up here. They’d both have really strong shots at it, but I doubt Carmel actually comes down anytime soon because of Indy schedule conflicts and Tarpon Springs seems more interested in going up to San Antonio. It seems that more and more recently upcoming Texan bands are trying to use St Louis as a springboard for Nationals, like Coppell who was originally going to Nats in 2019 but opted in to St Louis instead.

After each finalist placement would be announced, we in the stands would say who we thought would be next. (I’m sure a lot of people do the same). Not a single person around me said Broken Arrow for fourth. We were so all shocked that Blue Springs had passed them! But it was well deserved.

Ahhh I remember now, that Americana/USA show, I had BA at first or second then. Must have been too shocked because I can't remember it was Blue Springs that was third. The real question is Blue Springs still wearing pink again this year? I think it's beautiful and distinguishes them from everyone else.

I talked to a student from there about a year ago and they said they are planning to. Obviously a lot could've changed since then though lol I think my only fear about their pink and white theme is that it could get boring and repetitive. Their 2019 show felt too much just like a worse version of their 2018 show and I feel like they could fall into the same pit Castle fell into where they do shows with the same theme every year. I expect that they'll find a way to keep it fresh though

Blue Springs should be back in AAAA to stay. The Blue Springs area (east KC metro) is still growing like mad. Grain Valley and Camdenton will probably be up to AAA in a few more years. Just now seeing this, but Camdenton will probably be AA (or lower even) for a long while. Their county actually shrunk between 2010 and 2020, following a common rural trend. They’re too far from either of the major metros to benefit from population growth.

Only three competing bands that weren't previously identified by the calendar stalkers. Replacing three that were thought to be confirmed, one of which (Rockwood Summit) was originally on the Indy Super rumor list and was removed in favor of only listing it on St. Louis. Rockwood Summit is competing at Indianapolis.
A solid job of determining the likely participants.

There are 59 bands enrolled. This is under the limit for going to two panels, so the top 14 bands across the full schedule will advance to finals. A separate panel will be used for finals (ostensibly, this indicates that there will be a single panel for prelims - the reality remains to be seen).

I have a question I’ve been pondering a long time and maybe some of you can help me with it. Why do some of these Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri programs NOT bring their kids to San Antonio?! I know Camdenton has several times, but that’s about it as far as I can remember. I absolutely understand that directors want their kids to have a great Super Regional experience, but I honestly don’t think they know that they could have an equally phenomenal experience in San Antonio and it would actually expose them to something different. Not different as in better or worse. Just DIFFERENT. I would think directors would actually want that for their programs every so often, and so I honestly am curious why they don’t venture south every 3-4 years or so. If I was running one of these NW Arkansas programs up here, I would totally take them to Texas for a Super Regional every so often! Make it a fun adventure for them. Do the Riverwalk and the Alamo. Take them to Six Flags even. It would be a wonderful trip and a great experience for these kids!!!!
