I dont see Lawrence Township on your list, but the rest were spot on MPLT is short for Marching Pride of Lawrence Township. Sorry for the confusion on that!

I’m pretty happy with all of those results! I didn’t personally have MPLT in, but I’m THRILLED that they get to keep their streak of finals appearances going.
Edgewood winning A was as it should have been in my eyes, and western deservedly won music. Monrovia over Forest Park or Fairfield or Lewis Cass is an interesting one; congrats to them!!
I think the AA rankings are perfect and I’m glad Worthington Kilbourne got recognized. Choctaw was fabulous and deserved to sweep.
Carmel sweeping (well, effectively sweeping) doesn’t surprise me at all. They were great. I had Mason in third as well.
And congrats to Goshen!!!! Topping Franklin in AAA and making what I believe to be their first super regional finals appearance? They’ve made it at Dayton, Toledo, etc but not ever at the big shows, I believe. They put on a terrific show and earned their spot.
I unfortunately am unable to watch tonight, but I really enjoyed watching all of prelims, and I can’t wait to get home tonight and find out the results! Could be some juicy mix ups.

At best you are sorting 3 bands on the bubble. Missing 1 of 3 grades at a D.

Did anyone else find that Centerville's show design is quite lacking?

Greenwood in local competition was behind Greenfield by 1.5 points last week same block/same panel. LT was .9 behind Greenfield same panel/same day, but later time. Greenfield was within 8.75 behind Avon same bloc/same panel 2 weeks ago and 9.9 behind Avon same panel/same day, but later time last week. And these were legitimate panels with BOA level judges on them. I know the algorithm is being thrown by their poor showing at Dayton, but recent data suggests that they are in the hunt. INDY PRELIMS 74.650 Greenwood Community H.S., IN 72.450 Greenfield-Central H.S., IN

The gap between Greenwood and GC to Munster was larger than I expected. There was like a 5 point gap or something.

Don’t try to convince me your algorithm predicts that. Put a typical score in there for visual and Greenfield is above Greenwood by a comfortable margin. Congratulations on your luck.

Looking at the recaps I noticed Monrovia as a late addition to the schedule. That brought the total number of bands to 64. Had one more band added late, this would have been a two-panel prelims.

An interesting note: Had there been two panels in the traditional 121212 schedule (block one is panel 1, block two is panel 2, block three is panel 1, etc), using the real scores, we notice only one finalist band would’ve missed finals had there been two panels: Goshen, IN.
They would be replaced by Ben Davis, IN.

I won't say I told you so.....but....I did guess, I mean predict Carmel at 91.5+ with Avon right on their heals and that all the scores would be higher. No algorithm was used or harmed in my guessing! lol

Does ANYONE think that William Mason might be above Carmel or Avon tonight? I sure do! Personally I loved the fact that they used an oboe as a soloist, such a rare but beautiful suprise! Personally as an oboe player myself I wish I could hear more of this particular player throughout the show perhaps in the ballad? Other than that it was refreshing to see their drill demand more actual marching (rather than choreo) but I do have high hopes for William Mason!
