Looking at the scores, it seems that Pearland must have had a better finals performance. They were several points above the rest in the bottom half, and it is really hard to make up that difference between 6th and 7th. I'm not too worried about the rest of their season.

Going incredibly early is never easy, and their show has, to be frank, waaaaay more wheels than pretty much all the groups in finals except for the obvious one. They should be more than fine.

Congratulations to The Woodlands HS, TX. This marks The Woodlands fourth BOA regional title and first title since their 2013 championship season. One thing I have to mention about The Woodlands, they are right up there with LD Bell as the Texas bands with the most appearances in BOA regional finals. I have not done the calculations but I suspect these two bands are at the top.

I'd post my updated predictions but they're so spicy I'll have to sit on them a little longer... Now is a good a time as any. 👀 Dare I say, the results were more spicy than my predictions

I think The Woodlands is going to cause problems for a lot of groups late season. With a spread that big, yes!! Did anyone catch Cypress Woods? Impressive finish SFA really far down Tbh SFA is doing very very good things given their situation. They were significantly smaller than anyone else in finals with only 64ish winds, and on top of that, more than half of them have never marched. While this might not be the big triumphant season for them that 2019 was, I am by no means worried about the future of the program.

Watched them during prelims and was honestly impressed given their smaller size. Thought they were very solid for what they had. They were actually 13th in prelims while Bridgeland got 12th — first time ever qualifying for a BOA regional finals — but they had homecoming last night so they couldn’t perform.
