At least with those spreads. I think it has to be in Ind Music and then (due to show flow atm) compounded in Music GE. If the spreads were closer I could buy it. They had a pretty darn good run tonight and certainly not 16+ points behind Carmel.

Congrats to Carmel HS, IN. This is Carmel's 24th BOA regional title. That gives them the second most BOA regional titles of any band (Norwin, PA is still in first with 29 titles). Carmel won their first BOA Regional title way back in 1998 at BOA Toledo.
Shout out to Centerville, OH. Centerville first made BOA regional finals way back in 1982. Since 1984, they have been a BOA regional finalist every single year (excluding 2020 of course). Most of those years they were a finalist at multiple regionals. Centerville has a total of 20 BOA regional titles. I for one am so glad this band has maintained a quality program for so many years.
I also want to sent a shout to the Michigan band, Reeths-Puffer. Glad you made finals and were able to make the trip all the way down to Dayton.

First of all, props to Box 5 for the improved audio experience. I felt like I was hearing a good balance of winds/front ensemble the entire time. Only caught the last 3 performances at Dayton tonight but had some thoughts: Anderson County is a very strong group! Entertaining start to finish. They sounded much bigger than they were. Loved all the ripple movements and shifting drill patterns. Really nice creativity from Centerville. Was that 2006 Cavaliers music I heard? The flute soloist is so musical! Carmel. Hoo boy. That show is a monster. That opening climax could wake the dead. Horns roaring a high concert F with DCI level guard right in your face. Ferocious and majestic stuff. Is this a GN champion show? Kinda impossible to say at this point. All these top bands are amazing and the season is only beginning. I’m just glad we have marching band again. Cheers! I will go as far as to say that Carmel should be a front runner for the eagle. I really think that this show is something special, and it gives off 2016 Adagio Presto vibes for me. Not many people thought the show would do well but they excelled. I think this is the same thing here.

That show is a masterpiece, and I think this one will be, too!

How is a band nerd expected to go all band nerd on a Sunday morning without a full recap? EDIT: Nevermind. HR has it posted. So it look like the judges had Carroll 8-10 across all captions. I suppose going in the bottom block didn't help.

I'm quite fond of Beavercreek and am glad to see they were much more solidly in Finals this time than they were at the comparable show in 2018 (even though their score was four points lower this time).

It's a really fun show and I'm glad I'm going to get to see them at least one more time at the Indy Super regional.
