So how did Green Canyon tie for a caption and then take 4th? Was their music ridiculously high or were the other two captions just really low in comparison? Green Canyon scored incredibly well in Visual, too. It was Green Canyon’s GE scores that cost them a medal. Music — American Fork 17.85, Green Canyon 17.85 Visual — American Fork 17.85, Green Canyon 17.70 GE — American Fork 53.60, Green Canyon 49.80

What’s the outlook on GE in that part of the country? Is that typical?

I posted the St. George finals recap, as released to participating directors last night, but have not been able to obtain the prelims recap.

Is there another reason that Lakota is going to UT? Doesn't seem to make a ton of sense to me. I believe their itinerary includes this competition and visiting these places: Las Vegas some great scenery/other landmarks Just to shed some light on the "why" of Lakota West attending the St George Regional -- and this is first hand as I am a friend of the Farmington Director, as he was he Westlake director up through the 17-18 school year and all six of my kids attended Westlake while he was there. The Farmington director is from Ohio and attended Lakota West. His friend from Lakota West back in high school is now the director at Lakota West. The Farmington director invited his friend to bring the LW band out to Utah. It was a great thing to have Lakota West here in Utah with us and hope they enjoyed their time.
