EV North had a ~200 kid drop in enrollment. Interesting.

Some extra stuff moves + what paddy pointed out:
Ev. North: B to A Concord: B (competed in A despite being in B in 2019) Beech Grove: C to B Ev. Harrison: B to C Ev. Central: B to C Elkhart: A (the newly merged schools of Memorial and Central) Lewis Cass: C to D (keep in mind this is 2020 to 2021, not 2019 to 2021)
Significant drop in Pendleton Heights enrollment from 1356 to 1084. That puts them much closer to the B cut-off at 950. Think they'll be relatively comfortable in B for the next couple years, but certainly pending a drop to C like Northview (who's always dangerously close to the C cut-off).
Terre Haute North back in B. They compete in Scholastic, but maybe that'll encourage them to do Open soon.
Also: Issue with the Columbus North/East merger is that East is in B and North A. I believe ISSMA did allow the Lawrence Township merger with the caveat that the schools compete under an assigned name in the ISSMA system (i.e. Lawrence Central/North). This wasn't really an issue given both were in A, which highlights the East/North conundrum here. I have a feeling ISSMA will tweak the rules to require the merged band to compete in the highest class of the two or assign the higher class to the school with lower class (e.g. East is assigned A in years the merged badn wants to compete under that name).

Rules are already tweaked based on what I have heard. You have to count the total enrollment of combined schools.
Concord didn’t compete up a class. The canceled 2020 season had them in B. In 2019 (last time there were competitions) they were in A.

Just noticed this as I'm perusing band calendars for BOA regionals: Lake Central is signed up for Scholastic.

Just noticed this as I'm perusing band calendars for BOA regionals: Lake Central is signed up for Scholastic. Sadly, this is not surprising as the band is now trying to rebuild after a few director changes and Covid. Probably the best choice for them in the long run.
