Editor's Note: This is the official thread for Bentonville Invitational 2021. The event is scheduled to be held Oct. 2, 2021, at Bentonville High School.
I noticed earlier that the Bentonville Invitational has released what schools are currently registered to compete, so here's the list

Word is Union has fallen below 100 winds. A little difficult to believe, but they did seem slightly smaller in 2019. I haven’t been to a rehearsal yet. Will hopefully get around to it soon.

Yeah, sadly many programs decreased in size quite a bit during 2020, I'm still hoping to see quite a few bands come out swinging. |

Hot off their first respective invitationals of the season, it’ll be interesting to see whether Union or Camdenton comes out on top here. The two separate events definitely aren’t comparable, but unless Jenks and Bixby are doing a lot better than they did in 2019, Camdenton may have a shot at 1st place here.

Union had a rough weekend at Owasso. A few malfunctions in prelims and just a slow start to the season with a young group. I suspect they’ll push hard over the next couple weeks. They will have to balance cleaning with learning more of the show, and I think that may be a big factor in how they do at this early-ish contest. They only performed about 5 minutes this weekend.
The guard is spectacular. Really eye-catching this year.

If camdenton takes both Bentonville and Cedar Rapids, I put them in the top 3 for St. Louis!

I have them in 11th. I think it's likelier that Camdenton misses Finals at BOA St. Louis (a real longshot) than they medal in Finals (an ever bigger longshot). |

I don't doubt that winning Bentonville and Iowa are possible (though Union and MC are absolutely aware of that and will not be taking it easy at these events) but Broken Arrow, Blue Springs, O'Fallon, Coppell, and Prosper are all easily ahead of Camdenton at St. Louis, and that's being generous. Camdenton is fantastic this season from what I've seen so far, but that doesn't mean they're at the GN finals level quite yet. Maybe as a class rep one of these days. I say this as a Cammies grad with a sibling in the band, so don't get me wrong, I'm rooting for them  I'd just hate to see anyone be heartbroken when the results aren't what one expected. |

Holtom, LD Bell, Stephen F. Austin, Lake Travis, and Jenks will not go this around. I may be wrong. Camdenton beat Lake Travis, Jenks, and Rosemount last year.
I'm new to all this so my wishful thinking may be just that, wishful thinking. This is what I think the top pool will be. It's really hard to sneak-a-peek at some of these bands.
Broken Arrow, Blue Springs, Prosper, O'fallan, Coppell, Camdenton, Rosemount, Bixby, and Union.
Carroll and Prosper will be in the HEB contest. I will keep on eye on them to see how many points separate them. Carroll was within range of Camdenton in St. Louis.

2017, I believe, was the last time they went up against each other. I could be wrong. St. Louis Super had camdenton 13th. Mustang was 20th in prelims.
Camdenton has not went down in St. Louis, and I don't see them going lower this year.
Your 5,6,7,8 need looking at again, just for reconsideration.
I know ALL those kids work hard from every one of those schools.
I'll put it this way, there is no slacking from Camdenton.

Looks like I won’t be able to make this competition after all. My hubby’s aunt passed away last night and we are heading to Georgia this weekend to support my mother-in-law and attend the funeral. I’m so disappointed! But of course I want to attend this funeral. It will be like a family reunion. Life doesn’t always go like we plan!

Camdenton had what appears to be their whole show on the field ready for competition tonight. I wonder if they’ll bring it out here or save it for Iowa next week.

Camdenton’s performance has been delayed due to rain. Apparently it’s a downpour at the moment.

I'd just hate to see anyone be heartbroken when the results aren't what one expected.
