Why did an adult just run onto the field and pick something up and take it back to the sideline? Didn’t think that was allowed. A student left the field as the show started, because of a medical issue (she’s fine now). She left her flute on the field. The staff got permission from the T&P judge to retrieve it at an optimum point in the drill. And yes, the trombone soloist has a walking boot on his foot.

Holy Broken Arrow...just wow. I'm at a loss for words. What an absolutely phenomenal show that, for me, is the frontrunner to win the Eagle now. The visual execution is so incredibly high while the music performance is on par with bands like Hebron and Vandegrift. I'm absolutely floored. I would both agree and disagree with that assessment of their music performance, haven’t had the opportunity to watch them live, sadly, so my vantage point of their sound is obviously flawed, but I…can’t see them as on par with Hebron, if they were to go to Nats this year, they win the music caption, period. But of course, Broken Arrow played very very well from what I heard, great control, restraint in all the right places to make their impacts hit more, all the sections are great, great music program, excellent pit playing. Nothing negative you can say!

A lot of bands have design niches, Vandegrifts is playing classical music and reviving its power, Tarpon Springs is action packed movie production-esque programs, Broken Arrows is subtle yet engaging show design.
Mustangs niche is inflatable animal costumes. And honestly? It’s probably my favorite. I love Mustang.

Does anyone have Coppell in 2nd over BS? Yes, I think GE is kind of a wash (although I love the carousel theme because its easy to understand), but Coppell just has way more content than BS and They’re performing just as well if not better IMO.

Yee-Haw is their single most enigmatic show yet, nobody in the marching arts has been able to decipher the meaning of the show. It’s intricate and delicate musical selections paired with its subtly elegant visual package elude even the most elite of marching adjudicators.

Honestly, this has been the strongest STL has been overall in a long time. Absolutely incredible group of bands I am going to have to respectfully disagree. The 2019 field was CRAZY STRONG and compared to that year I think this is a slightly weaker group.

Mustang has yet to do those costumes where the top is a body and the bottom half is a blown up horse… 🏇🏻🏇🏻🏇🏻 They will! And then they'll stomp all over people on the farm or kick them from behind! Dinosaurs, sharks, and the destruction continues with horses.

I think Box5 has done an excellent job today. Although it's difficult to capture everything from every band, levels in the front were adjusted in real-time and lower mics were moved in front of speakers for every band. I don't think Flo ever had on-field personnel to adjust things.

Broken Arrow’s never ever been a slouch in that department, for sure. To say they’re lacking, which I’m definitely not saying, would be wrong of course. Great performance tonight from them!
