That was really great, Cedar Park. I really enjoyed a lot of the drill sets and I LOVED the music. This has been a fantastic evening so far! I can’t imagine what it’s all like in person.

Cedar Park is impressively clean. Love the callbacks to the history of the program, the music is actually very catchy to me and I found myself bobbing my head throughout the performance. I think I can see why their GE scores weren't too high but I wouldn't be surprised to see them top Rouse and Leander here.

Probably around half of these band could make Nats Finals, its pretty crazy to think how great the competition is here.

I'm trying very hard to score these bands tonight, which means my predictions will be even more wrong than if I just blindly guessed. Here's how I have the bottom half:
Cedar Park Leander Rouse Vista Ridge Keller Coppell Pearland

I love hard Dan is trying to time the opening hit with the announcement The opening announcement starts 45 seconds before the designated performance time and is timed to use exactly those 45 seconds. It is the bands that are timing the opening hit for the exact right moment, not the announcer.

I’m so glad TWHS is coming to nationals. I need to see this live. Their uniforms are fantastic fits for the genre and visually stick out on the field, and their musical performance doesn't need any words.... just amazing, especially these soloists.

That Cell Block Tango was PERFECT. Whoever came up with this show is a genius. I’m not certain on a medal at Nats but to say this show will be a fan favorite is an understatement. So much fun!

The Woodlands!!! That was INCREDIBLE!!! I haven't been the biggest fan of this show style from them but even I can admit how phenomenal that performance was! Their soloists are absolutely AMAZING and knocked it out of the park! The trombone soloist and ensemble were so clean and the tenor sax soloist in the ballad just blew me away!! Such an amazing performance from them!

Favorite. Show. Of. The. Year.
Chicago is my favorite musicals and one of my fave movies of all time, so I def have a sweet spot for this show. They executed the musical numbers SO well. Top notch performances from every single soloist and member of the band. Also HOLY CRAP THAT GUARD HELLO?!?! I am beyond ecstatic to see them exactly a week from today in Indy:)))

THE WOODLANDS!!!!!!!!
Everything about this show is just so, so, so, SO GOOD! I see absolutely no reason why that design & performance can't steal the GE caption for the night or rise through the ranks of the top 7. Every single detail of that show has intent and clarity behind it, and every single moment of music is written so thoughtfully and with so much momentum behind it. I could gush about this show all night, and I have gushed about it all season, so I won't go on.
A crystal clean run, tons of energy, deep and brassy full ensemble sounds, amazing woodwind presence, a guard that is light years beyond what anyone else in Texas is putting on the field this year (or ever has). I'm in love!
