LOVING the audience tonight. Very enthusiastic. Every band deserves it.

I will always love Claudia Taylor Johnson's boldness and ambition when it comes to their productions! They may not be the most precise band out there but they are having a TON of fun! You can see how much those students love performing out there with the energy they have! The best sounding band so far for me and I really really hope they can break into the top half! That ending has to be one of my favorites of the season!!!

Nobody rips your face off like CTJ's trumpets! Really see potential for them in the top 6.

CTJ closer was amazing, probably the hardest drill so far in finals, really sucks though that the beginning was a little dirty visually .

I'm a little dumbfounded how CTJ ended up in the bottom half. I also think this was a particularly good run, especially musically, for them. There were some visual spots that didn't seem to line up, but I would not be surprised to see them move to the top half tonight.

It's too late at night for CTJ to be making me feel things like they are. I can't handle the sheer amazingness of these high schoolers.

That CTJ sound is just searingly loud, I can’t imagine it live

blue springs - I’m obsessed with this constant pulse. Nothing but forward motion, even after the big moments!

It sure looked to me like the CTJ front props violated the 6’ without safety railing/apparatus rule.

Blue Springs has a 12 place or lower ensemble sound, but I’ll be a fool if there is better body control and choreography among any of the finalists. I’ve always said that every single performer looks like they’re a part of the guard. They move so insanely well.

When you have this many bands at such a high level, they can't all be top half.

This Blue Springs show design has me feeling like it’s a DCI production!

Blue springs has the best visual individual I have ever seen in a high school band, and mixed with these uniforms and show design, it’s so visually fun to watch right now.

I’ve always said that every single performer looks like they’re a part of the guard. They move so insanely well. I'm noticing that too. They must train similar to Blue Devils or something in how they get these kids to have a fairly uniform style of movement. It's impressive.

Very much Blue Devils vibes from Blue Springs for me. Really well executed [especially visually], but I don't get the theme, like at all.

can someone explain the conductor in a suit for blue springs? It is completely within the rules for a staff member to conduct outside the performance arena.

can someone explain the conductor in a suit for blue springs? I asked the same thing earlier! Apparently directors are allowed to conduct as long as they’re off the field

That Blue Springs show was a ton of fun! It really does remind me of DCI shows with the amount of soloists but I still enjoyed it a lot. That saxophone soloist is super talented! Going after CTJ you can tell there's a definite step down in ensemble sound but they were still brilliant visually and had a lot of great moments.

The "High Cam" video person is terrible. Stop zooming in only to cut off members out of frame. Zoom out and stop trying to zoom in and lose members!
