Ugh why does cedar ridge have to go on so early!!!? Noon is early? Are you a college student? That is pretty early since Friday goes till 10:30. A lot of bands have been scheduled "early" for the longest time. Such as Vista Ridge, Cedar Ridge, New Braunfels, O' Connor, and Seven lakes (just to name a few) ALMOST ALWAYS go early in the day on either day.

I have noticed this trend with a few of these bands as well. Perhaps some directors prefer to perform earlier in the morning, but I’m not sure why that would be. If that’s not the case then it’s quite the coincidence!

As noted by principalagent, those who have slightly longer (but reasonable) drives may do so for football game considerations. We non-Texans need to remember that some ISDs have shared stadia, thus requiring some games to start earlier in the evening than many of us typically experience.

Would someone mind explaining why Hebron isn't going last? I thought as the winner of last year's super regional, they would be performing last. If you won the previous regional, do you just get to choose when you would like to perform?

They’re gonna make finals anyways, so I appreciate them and other bands letting somebody else getting that precious spot, whether that’s their thought process or not.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s to get another rehearsal in. But it’s more likely to just ease the schedule between performances. Even if you’re in the top half of finalists, it can be a quick schedule if you perform last! Tarpon usually doesn’t pick the last spot in prelims for what I believe are similar reasons.

As the first band in a block, there will be a break in neighboring warmup area(s). That means fewer distractions from a great performance

Here’s my extremely rough predictions:
1. Hebron 2. Vandegrift 3. Cedar Ridge 4. CTJ 5. Flower Mound 6. Reagan 7. The Woodlands 8. Cedar Park 9. Marcus 10. Cy-Fair 11. Rouse 12. Round Rock 13. Coppell 14. Westlake
I’m sure these will fluctuate much as more videos pop out and more bands compete — they are in no means final.
With that being said, I am pretty confident in Vandy getting second (again☹️ ), despite how much I love their show this year. I meant to ask: are they using Castle’s Menlo Park props this year? Regardless, they look great and sound great. I really hope they win, as I’m not seeing the same Hebron everyone else seems to be seeing, but the scores don’t lie and an 89.600 on October 1 is a score we haven’t seen since Reagan’s Secret World. I’m also loving CTJ this year! The prop work at the beginning will have VGE points thrown at them like they’ve never seen. I am quite sad to see the possibility of Leander out this year, but it seems like that might be the case until they get over this massive Flu. It’ll definitely put them behind the pack, but I’m thankful such a great program has ample amount of time to recover before SA. Looking forward to watching this annual bloodbath on Box5 this year!

Being in the final block on Friday evening with all those well-known bands will mean the three groups get to perform in front of an amazing crowd. It's a great opportunity for a wonderful experience. Note to self - using "amazing," "great," and "wonderful" as descriptors in such close proximity may sound like hyperbole but it's okay. The statements are valid.
