Harrison sounded great IMO. I can seem them taking the music and GE captions tonight.

That was a fun show from Harrison. Thought they did well pulling off the Batman theme and had some great moments with the soprano sax soloist. That said, I can see why they didn't place 1st in their class. Marching techniques were a bit inconsistent from performer to performer, and at times I thought the voiceovers didn't really add much to the show and might've even detracted from it. That said I still really liked it and look forward to seeing it again at Jacksonville.

Cleveland is a very good band, but I really do think Harrison is just plain better. Even if by a small margin 🤷♂️

Cleveland has a super nice sound. My issue is demand compared to some other groups. They cleverly fill in a lot of gaps with electronics.

Cleveland has a great sound, but Harrison's show was more technically demanding.

I like the Nation Ford props that give the effect of having more marchers (intentionally or not).

Green Level has some of the best sounds coming out of their instruments but their show is fairly high demand and I think the ensemble side is behind a few others. They may leapfrog some bands by nationals IMHO.

WOW Green Level! What a show! Very demanding, and I wouldn't be surprised if we see them on top tonight.

Very well done to Catawba Ridge for taking home the gold tonight. As an alum of a 2A band, it's nice when a small band proves they can hang with the big bands.

Cleveland was first in prelims. The top four bands points margin was so small, it could’ve been anyone’s for the taking with a strong finals showing.

EDIT: I see that this is accurate in the recaps. Wonder how the scheduling got messed up?

WOW! This is definitely the season for some big surprises at the regional championships.
Congratulations to Catawba Ridge on their very first BOA regional title! This now means that all three high schools in the York County School District have been a BOA regional champion.
South Carolina Regional Champions:
James F Byrnes 1999 Irmo 2001 Fort Mill 2011, 2015, 2017 Nation Ford 2016, 2017 Wando 2018(2), 2021 Catawba Ridge 2022

The best band from Georgia is from South Carolina 😂👀 jkjk
But really huge congratulations to CR. They had a great run. Would have settled for a medal but this is icing on the cake. I still think the goal for them is to just make semis but very proud of what they accomplished in such a short time.
This was also a fairly weaker harrison so hopefully they can return to their former glory soon.
