Lawrence Township a huge step up compared to Louisville. Well done!👏👏👏 I would fathom to say that's my favorite LT show in the past 10 years. They finally gave up the singing! Great job, LT!

WOW MPLT!! What a show. I’d say that was finalist level but I haven’t watched any bands today soooo yeah. They seem a little bit bigger, glad to see the program growing

Missing the old MLPT style from the past few years. This is a great show, but I’m sad they gave into just doing something like everyone else is. Seems there’s not much room for unique styles.

AVON!
This show is HARDDD, once it cleans up this is definitely one of my favorites to win nats.

Say what you will about Avon, but there is a lot of good stuff in there. I definitely don’t think they’re any weaker than they were last year IMO

Avon is great as always but they don’t wow me as much as they did here last year, the design feels a little oddly paced to me

Well that was much better than that video that was going around this past week (though the quality on that vid was quite poor tbf). Musically they sounded really strong and hit some tough articulation and technical phrases extremely well. Even visually they did a good job handling the pretty high demand of the show, and I thought the individual technique was quite good on the multi-cam. That said I'm still not convinced by the design of the show. The pace seems slightly off in some sections, but if they can clean up some of the tougher parts of the show I don't see why this can't win Grand Nats.

I've been of the opinion that this show can definitely take the Eagle, but it's hugely dependent on how well the kids can perform it. If we get an Avon 2010-esque performance by GN.... Hoo boy it's going to be a special one. It is completely within the kids' capabilities this year too.

Center Grove seems bigger than in the recent past, although it may be the field design. I appreciate that they're not hiding half the band all the time this year. And I love the re-use of the flower platforms from their 2020 winter guard show that was cheated out of winning a WGI World Championship. Speaking of guard, they're definitely returning to CG form after an off year. Nice show, but I'm not convinced we'll see it again tomorrow night.

As it often does

Avon is great as always but they don’t wow me as much as they did here last year, the design feels a little oddly paced to me Honestly I haven’t seen “historical” Avon be Avon since 2010. 2009 production and 2010 (mostly) are Avon’s overall pinnacle. This year show has me conflicted.

I find it odd right at the end of the opener they have the mellos marching and carrying the melody while the trumpets are in front of them doing circular body

I'd give Avon Visual and GE, but Carmel takes music hands down...

Carmel Accolades 👆👆👆
I won’t criticize Carmel’s indoor performance tonight as it might be interpreted as blasphemy against the BOA Holy Ghost for many, many fans on this forum.
Great job on taking tops tonight imo!. Blue Springs and Avon have a tough hill to climb. Performance caps are key in BOA and I can see Visual and Music attainable for BS tomorrow. We shall see

Well, Carmel is Carmel. Not a super hard book musically but they play it very well and have super smooth and balanced sounds, especially during the full ensemble moments with dynamic changes. Visually it was actually a little dirtier then I was expecting to see. Blue Springs could definitely win visual over both Carmel and Avon. I do like this year's show more than last year's, but tough to say if it will be better than Broken Arrow and Avon by the end of the season.

I liked the expanse way more, this show is honestly kind of boring and just sort of typical them.
But, performance captions cannot be beat imo. I only see GE up in the air and they will probably take that too

Fishers has really good individual players and this show is complimenting them super well.
I see them in top half here and comfortably in nats finals.

Caught the last couple of minutes of Fishers and I’m glad I did because RADIANT JOY!!!! That was awesome! That will be so good by GN.

Fishers totally gets the pageantry spot on. Great drill, great guard and percussion. But the music performance is just once again kinda not quite there for me. Castle plays better, if only by a bit. Making that semis bubble even more interesting

I have the same top five in each panel as you do. The only difference is that I've got Greenfield Central above Noblesville for the last 4. Can't wait to see what happens tomorrow. I'm pretty sure panel 2 is going to change quite a bit!

I'm pretty sure panel 2 is going to change quite a bit! Greenfield was .6 behind Noblesville this year at the Center Grove contest when Greenfield competed up in Class A. It wouldn’t be shocking to see that result flip. I’m just not a big fan of LT or CG.

There are some heavy hitters in panel 2 tomorrow!

There will be a group of very competitive Class B bands around 20-25 when it all shakes out.
