.5 difference in temperature. Any other temp reports available? Record breaking speed…recaps for Class A and B are on the results page under ISSMA. Very high scores and Fishers just exploded. Congrats to all!! What a great day at LOS.

Congratulations to Carmel. Winning from the first spot is amazing. Well done. I know it can be tedious after all these years to see Carmel/Avon 1 and 2 in either order, but both are fantastic programs and Indiana is lucky to have them. Fishers could be next at that level if they continue on this trajectory. It wasn't that long ago when neither Fishers nor Brownsburg were even discussed as State finalists, and to see them both solidly occupying the top half of finals, and probably in GN Finals, is incredible.
I do need to shout out to Homestead. Congrats on getting back into the 6th spot. Good luck next week. Let's get into semis!

What a great day at LOS. Class C and D are up as well. Those Class B recaps, though…the top 3 could’ve easily swapped places and 4 wasn’t out of the conversation.

Once Carmel finished I knew they were going to win. Watching them was like witnessing true beauty, a treat visually and musically. They are the Blue Devils of the high school marching band world.

Just noticed that Fishers was second at MUSIC ENSEMBLE and scored higher than AVON who went on right after Fishers. I think FIshers music book is extremely tough and they did it well and it showed. Can't wait to see where this show goes next week and for Fishers beyond. Congrats to all!

I remember Brownsburg from Symphony of the Night days when they were talked about as a possible state finalist! Wild to see how far they've come since.

As a former Fishers mom, I remember well the years of disappointment at ISSMA semifinals, but I also remember the elation of hearing our name called in 2016 for the first time. While my girls have both graduated, I'm so freaking proud of this program and the growth in both talent and culture that I've witnessed over the past 8 years. And I'm planning to be at Lucas Oil next Saturday to witness the next "first" for Fishers as well. Go Tigers!!

They were a class act last night staying and applauding every band off the field after awards like they all just won.

Congrats to Carmel.
I shook my head at those saying "Avon will win with Carmel having to go on first." I rememeber Ben Davis in the 80's drawing first and they just went out and set the bar for the whole night. Carmel just did it too.

It almost seemed like the crowd reaction to the runners-up announcement was more surprised than usual, as if everyone needed a moment to adjust to what they were hearing.

I think a lot of people thought that Carmel's draw to perform first basically foretold an Avon - 1st / Carmel - 2nd finish... especially with them being so close all year. I'll admit I had the same thoughts before things started last night... but after Carmel was done I really thought they had a very good chance of placing first.

I thought I heard the announcer on Saturday say that next years ISSMA finals will be on Oct 28. That's a week earlier than usual. Anyone know what's up with that?

Sounds like it needs to be either Oct 14 or Nov 4th. Week before GN seems like a non-starter, too.

Unless they move BOA outside(which won't happen).

BOA has hosted Indy Super before GN in 2016 because the FFA convention took the week the Indy Super was supposed to be. FFA convention is pretty much the priority in Indy, which isn't that big of a deal since BOA, ISSMA, FFA, and the city work together to avoid conflicts in scheduling each year.
