Killer sax soloist from Sandra Day O'Connor just now!!! For real, he put a vibe on me something fierce. Things are going to get real spicy from here on out.

Hays just lived out every middle school saxophonists dream. Seriously. And they put on one hell of a show. I feel like they're on the verge of something really special based on their improvement the past couple of years. We could see them in finals here in the near future.

The Hays and MG Johnson bands are doing their best to put Buda on the map.

So we will see Hendrickson 3 times in Indy.
That show is INCREDIBLE, all they need to do is clean it up.

This block is already off to a crazy start, everyone’s vying to be in the safe zone of top 5 panels 1/2. It’s crazy

I really enjoyed their show. I was worried that lost time would hurt them more than it has. They're dirty, yes, but they have a clear, cohesive show theme and play well enough to get into finals. Just need to iron out the attacks and intonation in the high brass now that they're (mostly) back to full health. On the visual side, they have done a great job adding so much body to their visual program.

Uh, Cedar Park ... the word of the day is "clarity."
That was phenomenal.

Overall I prefered Westwood's take on Beauty and the Beast to their version of Wizard of Oz, but I love their design paradigm. Refreshingly enjoyable in a single viewing but plenty worth seeing multiple times if the option is available

Wow Westwood was a surprise. I haven't heard too much talk about them this year, but very fun show and think they really sold their show!

Does anyone know who arranges the music for Westwood? I really enjoyed the way they morphed between different songs in a recognizable way, while still sounding like a marching band.

For the first 30 bands or so, I had a spreadsheet going where I was keeping track of the scores I gave each band in each category, but at this point its all mush to me. I don't know how judges stay on their A game for two whole days.
Now I'm just going to sit back and enjoy. These last several bands have been amazing!

Vandegrift comes out with an unrivaled velocity for most of their opener, I was a bit taken aback by how speedy they’ve gone about that opening material, kinda like they’re trying to fit inside that UIL 8-minute timer!😂

Vandegrift was easily the best band so far for me. They march so many performers yet they're still incredibly clean and sound so pristine. Show was not my favorite when I first saw it but it has grown on me so much over the season, especially with the ending. Loved it!

We’ve finally gotten to the last block of a very long, exciting day of band! And with it, we’re about to get the first taste of some DFW groups in the Keller ISD triumvirate, along with Flower Mound woooo! Not to mention frequent finalists CTJ, Leander and Reagan. Crazy final block of the day ahead still!

I love Reagan's show. My fav from Texas so far. With all I have heard, that will probably change when I see Hebron tomorrow.
