Well, I didn’t think anyone was gonna have a chance to beat Hebron coming into today, but HELLO FloMo. If anyone can it’s them imo

What a phenomenal show, Flower Mound. My favorite superhero has always been Batman, but now, it's SuperBand. They could win the whole thing.

Thought Flower Mound was clearly the strongest band today, and probably would've swept captions if only judged today. Anyways, I'll put my Top 14 from today for fun, although I missed many band performances:
Flower Mound Vandegrift Ronald Reagan (Cedar Ridge) *didn't catch, but I think they'll be around here Cedar Park Claudia Taylor Johnson Round Rock Westwood Vista Ridge Westlake Rouse Timber Creek Leander (James Bowie) **didn't catch, but I think they'll be around here -------------------- Keller

Vista Ridge 6. Ronald Reagan 7. Cedar Park 8. Westlake 9. Round Rock 10. Rouse 11. Leander 12. Keller 13. Robert E Hendrickson 14. Timber Creek

I'm nowhere near confident enough to predict all of the bands that went today, so I'll just stick to my top 14 of the day:
1. Vandegrift 2. Ronald Reagan 3. Claudia Taylor Johnson 4. Flower Mound 5. Vista Ridge 6. Cedar Ridge 7. Cedar Park 8. Round Rock 9. Westlake 10. Keller 11. Timber Creek 12. Rouse 13. Leander 14. Hendrickson

Keller - I wrote them out of finals in my predictions, now I’m gonna flip that. They’re just too good to be below 14. They don’t have the visual demand of some of the top bands but they have the show to do it, that ballad is unbelievable.
Flower Mound is so simple and easy to understand, and I love that. It’s easy for a regular person to figure out that it’s a superhero band show, and for them to pick out certain moments. The judges love throwing them in the most random spots so I’m not even gonna try and pick where they’ll land besides somewhere in the top half. I don’t think they have the overall demand to beat Hebron (to be fair very few bands ever do) but still an awesome show

LD Bell is a Kansas City band in Texas. I really like the Vento style with this group - they’re able to handle the visual demand very well. It’s a gorgeous show, from a visual standpoint. They’d do very well in the Midwest. The issue is that they aren’t quite meeting the musical demand…which I’m fine with, but it will leave them buried when the Texas scene asks for so much musically.
Speaking of which, huge improvement out of the Vista Ridge guard. I think Bell was ready to tackle the Vento style after years of guard performance demand from being a Wes group. I don’t think the instructional style worked with Vista Ridge, so I’m really glad to see them playing to their strengths now instead of trying to push past their ability. I’m really happy with both of these shows! I’ve been too busy to leave any comments so far, but I’ll try to get out what I can. I’m happy to be back in the Alamodome after so long!

SEVEN LAKES!!!!! To all of us that didn't even consider them a bubble band... we were dead wrong!!!! I woke up at 6:00 AM just to watch them and—let me tell you—it was well worth it. Every second was jam-packed with GE. The visual depth was so clever and so fulfilling. And that COLORGUARD!!! This may be my favorite show I've seen from anybody this season!!! There was once a time when they were signed up for GN next week, and I think they'd absolutely be in the 5th-8th place range if that were still the case. Compared to everyone I've seen thus far this weekend, I have them right behind Round Rock and Cedar Park and right ahead of Timber Creek and Westlake. It's more likely that they'll be out than in, but I really really hope they're at least in the teens. (Now that I'm fully excited and woken up... time to nap for two more hours I'll be back for Argyle till the end!)

Absolutely love 7Lakes show it was beautifully written, love the usage of their props, and the colors.

The show was very nice! I agree that the guard totally blew me away.

College Park has dropped due to buses. Break between Marcus and Hebron has been extended. Almost every event this year has had a band drop or a schedule change due to bus or truck issues.

The last two supers have set my standards just low enough that I think over half of these bands should be in finals

Wow beautiful show from Pearland. They are in the conversation for Finals, at least for me!
Also does anyone know if Cartwright works with Pearland? I got a lot of Edge of Eternity vibes from that show in terms of visual effect

Wow, Cypress Woods! it's just one surprise after another. There's going to be a lot of extremely good bands left out of Finals; that's for sure. I could definitely see CW in Finals though.
