Pecos (VERY UNDESERVEDLY) got a 2 at UIL in October. Super happy they get another run tonight in front of the most incredible audience. Gonna be cheering extra for them.

“Standards@. Guards? All states listed have amazing guards! from my POV it seems both of these post are attempting to rob the dignity and honest exceptionalism that has happened in SA Prelims 2022. Makes me both and sad and validated! This has been the most competitive group of programs that BOA will field this year bar none! Maybe I missed something? Indiana had more SW guards in WGI finals than any other state, so it’s a pretty fair statement to make. Though The Woodlands did get third 😉 I’ll give a shoutout to Florida guards as well. Indiana had 6 guards in finals and Florida had 4, meaning the two states comprised over half of the 16 finalists. Only 14 guards make Scholastic World Class Finals at WGI. It was changed to 15 last year because there were only 15 there. My daughter spun weapon for Fishers, so unfortunately, I wasn't able to watch the Woodlands except during the end of their warmups, but their show looked fun! Definitely the best guard in Texas that I've seen.

Final thoughts before Finals. I know this happens all over the country after finals call outs but so so many amazing programs that are heartbroken tonight. I saw kids crying in the halls and stands :/. It’s hard to fathom the depth on this field year over year and this year was extra special. To those kids sitting im the perimeters watching finals we applaud your efforts this year to no end! Arguably any program 1- 70 would final in any other Regional in the country! Over 40 would Final at other supers and 20 plus would finals at Nats! Keep your head up as this is not a loss. Seniors you left us all with an amazing legacy and those underclass men. The future is yours to conquer!
Thank you students and staff!

Yeah, Leander peaked at the right time and Rouse was unfortunately decimated by flu. Will be interesting to see prelim results.

Leander had their own struggles this season including being decimated by the flu 3 weeks ago during UIL Region. I’m so proud of them for taking 16th place overall in prelims on Saturday!
