From what I have heard you can count out any band from the Fort Mill area attending GN next year. Catawba Ridge is going to London for the New Years Day parade, and Nation Ford and Fort Mill have both been vocal about not returning until they have a program that will make semis. Wando is likely to be the only SC representative next year, and Cleveland is likely to be the only NC rep. Any of the Cary Area Bands planning to come up? With a couple going this year, I'd be surprised to see them return again next year. Possibly could see Cary or Green Hope returning next year, but outside of that I don't see anyone else.

Round Rock is esentially confirmed
Since Pearland has just made both San Antonio and State finals this year, they are very likely. (word of mouth from alum and students)

Speaking of Texas and threes, this would be Hebron’s third appearance at Grand Nats, third time’s the charm perhaps🤔👀 So with the CTJ progression previously noted and Hebron's recent prowess likely to continue into 2023, the battle is on for third! As much as I enjoyed this year’s show for Hebron, I would very much love a return to their 2021 sound profile, dark and *EXPLOSIVE*, in a word I want a bad*** Hebron hornline with their low brass carrying the torch for them🔥🔥🔥They’re not gonna slow down in their capabilities, pretty much improving every year for who knows how long, I’m very much looking forward to what they’ll bring to the table👀

Man, the Macy's Parade is picking off bands left and right! Will Fishers be next? Who Knows? (Probably not) Actually, Fishers IS marching in the 2023 Macy's parade, but considering there are no travel costs for GN since they're local, I don't think it will affect their plans to compete.

But to each their own!

Unless you know something I don't, I don't think Castle will be at Grand Nationals next year because that's when they normally take their big band trip (happens every 4 years). Kind of stinks because this will be the last Grand Nationals my oldest son will attend, and because of covid, it's only his second time attending.
Although depending on the line-up next year, he's already telling me that he wants to come watch at least semi-finals anyway.

This is simply just a gut feeling, but I think Bartlett could make the trip given their recent success at Clarksville and Jacksonville.

Word of mouth I've heard from Castle students on a server I'm a part of is that they're planning to become a regular participant at Grand Nationals. I'll move them to the unknown list in case this is just a rumor.

Would be nice to see them attend every year though. But having a trip year I think is also important. Some of my best band memories come from those trips. I got lucky and had two. Disney World with Angola my freshman year and then the Fiesta Bowl with Homestead my senior year. Loved the Grand Canyon and highly recommend visiting it if you get the chance.

Very curious how the rumored [very reliably sourced rumors] of Marian Catholic joining 1A will impact the choices small bands make.

This could be a bit of a stretch, but what about Westlake H.S., UT?
This program has been known to make some massive trips in the past. They went to GN in 2016 and most recently SA Super Regional in 2019. Maybe this will be another year where they will make another trip to GN? I hope so because of the recent success this program has been having recently.

If anyone currently at Grand Nationals hears any rumors about next year's participants, feel free to post them here. You can be as vague as possible.

I think there’s a real chance Hebron takes visual. At the very least, it’s not holding them back anymore. They’ve shown since 2019 that they can consistently have a demanding visual book that they can execute very well.

After all the momentum the last 2 years, I really wish Jenison was attending. They would be a serious contender for the AA title in non-Tarpon years.
