Maybe a hot take, but I don't see Avon in the top 3 right now. If this season has taught us anything it’s that anything is possible lol Very fair lol

Holy cow Avon! That was fabulous musically!! Guard struggled a bit at times but recovered well. Music is their strength this fall. I love the deceptive simplicity of the visual design… honestly, the lack of so much makes it that much more risky. Great job!

Avon so good across the board. But all of the top 5 are. What a show it's shaping up to be

BA
Don't love that the props and uniforms are very similar in color. Feel like the band gets lost in-between props and takes away from the visuals

I will say even groups like Avon, know for movement seem to still hold back. That closer and last minute Design wise just leave me wanting a different ending. Kinda similar feeling for all the top groups. They are all high level but their visual packages, I want more movement, especially with Carmel using Samuel barber’s piece. There’s just parts in that piece that need faster visual ensemble moments.

I fall in love with Broken Arrows show more and more with each viewing. From a personal preference I enjoy this years show more than their eagle winning show last year. I just prefer a darker show! They are handling their props much better than they were in St. Louis. Overall a great run. I know I’m team Indiana, but following directly after Avon I feel like Broken Arrow has the upper hand over them…

I personally feel Avon is ahead but can definitely see why people would think otherwise. I like Avon’s demand a little more

Kiski'guard is amazing! You can definitely see why they won WGI in Scholastic Open class last spring! Nothing specific that they did "popped" to my under-trained eye for guard, bit there wasn't a single noticeable weak link. I had the pleasure of spending some time at a Kiski guard practice last winter season and they are just so solid in their fundamentals and core skills they make it look easy. Genuinely nice kids and adults as well.

I’d be a generate gambler if sports books let you bet on marching band.

Carmel "might" get them in music, but I am doubting it. That was amazing!

BA KILLED IT!!! Yes, another run like that in finals and the eagle could very well be staying in Oklahoma. Let’s get it!

What BA did was very clean and the visuals were much less limiting than Dobson. The middle section seemed a little lacking, like it was filler. Great show and they'll be top 5 but I cant put them above Avon right now.

After watching them back to back I think Broken Arrow may have been slightly better. Definitely enjoyed watching Avon more though, this BA show just isn’t doing it for me like last year’s did

I thought BA & Avon were quite evenly matched today. I think Avon had the edge in music, but other than that...two incredible groups who design, play, & move at the very top of the activity.

Changed my mind about BA after seeing it person. The tag ending is captivating. Stunning musically, stunning visually. Neck and neck with Avon right now in my eyes. I think it’ll come down to who’s better in finals.

Broken Arrow was phenomenal.
Between them and Avon I think their show’s GE was a little better but Avon’s music was stronger (near perfect articulations)

We're behind schedule again after Broken Arrow. The announcement for Johnson started 2 minutes and 40 seconds later than it should have. I wonder what keeps happening with BA to cause that?

It seems like the year of warm colors (Red, Orange Yellow.) So many warm colored uniforms.
