I would expect Camdenton, as they have not missed two St. Louis SRs back-to-back yet.
Itβs somewhat of a long shot, but I can see a case where we see more Indiana and Illinois bands here that would usually attend Indy instead, but are now forced to choose between Indy and State. Iβm thinking Lincoln-Way and Morton are very good possibilities, and someone more informed than me on Indiana bands could throw a few in.
Pearland, TX maybe? St. Louis has a way of attracting Cartwright bandsβ¦.

Don't anticipate Lincoln HS (SD) going to St. Louis. It falls the same weekend as South Dakota All State Orchestra and Choir. If they're going to a Super Regional this year, it would be Indianapolis the weekend before.

I think we'll see a good representation from the Illinois groups, especially those planning on potentially going to Nationals (Morton (?), Marian, Lincoln-Way (?)). Belleville East has been hosting the Greater St. Louis Marching Band Festival the last weekend in October for the past couple of years. The question is, will they go back to what they had planned in 2018 and host a Friday night event when they were the same weekend as St. Louis? They had a semi-decent lineup of bands planning to attend (Victor J. Andrew, Owasso, Normal, Edwardsville, Davenport Central, among others), but they were ultimately rained out.

Itβll certainly be interesting to see the decisions that are made. MSMA also conflicts, but it was posted to the FB page this morning that theyβre considering a date change. Hopefully steering clear of a BOA St. Louis overlap will attract some bigger bands and further legitimize the contest.

Last time it was this late we only had 2 Texas bands (Dripping Springs & Weiss) but both made finals. Wouldn't be surprised to see Clovis here. I could also see a few SE bands attend seeing how there is no Winston-Salem or Jacksonville Regional. As for Indiana Bands, well, it will have been 13 years since Carmel attended St. Louis. I know the Indy Super Regional made it so that Carmel didn't have to go to St. Louis, but it would be fun to see them here again/

Pecos for the 1A title, perhaps?

I will say it is feasible for either Avon or Carmel (much more so) to go all BOA this year if they feel like it.

Thatβs not fully correct. 6A State is the next week, which makes it unlikely but not impossible. 4A and 2A are also the next week, so a Pecos definitely couldnβt make it work.

Or to the delight of a bunch of ISSMA Class A bands? - The groups fighting for third move up to battling for the championship. - The bands that would otherwise be 11th and 12th get finals spots. - And of course the one band that would fail to advance out of each region would now get to participate in semi-state. Of course, that's all based on a "what if" of both Avon and Carmel skipping ISSMA in the same year.

What are the odds we see Cabot, AR try out a super regional this year? Really want to see more of them, and it looks like it may be the closest regional to them this year if I'm not mistaken.

Morton, IL (says possible BOA on calendar, definitely between this and Belleville)
