Dartmouth's director has already confirmed in a local news interview that they plan on attending the regional again next year. While things can always change, I'm taking that as a "confirmed" entry for now. I'd also put Wakefield at least in the "Potential/Rumored" bucket. They have shown an effort to attend BOA events since 2019 and they don't attend USBands events. That means only NESBA finals would be a conflict, and that falls on a Sunday. Like statechamp1239 , I also wish we could figure out a non-NYSFBC/USSBA state championship weekend to fit this in, but for now I'm just going to be grateful that this regional is coming back. Fingers crossed that we continue to see some new representation this coming year. However, I am a bit curious what attendance will look like given the Mid-Atlantic regional has pushed back to the week prior to this one. Hopefully they won't pull away any bands from this event.

I'm also grateful just saying but I just wanted a week where it's more likely to see more new faces also, I just don't think many bands are going to do both Mid-Atlantic and Piscataway just seem too much money.

Little off topic. But New Providence (1A in BOA NJ Band) that's able to produce more 170+ members pre-COVID and now has somewhere around low 100s with six 6A and 5A National wins and seven States wins in a decade and West Milford (who has participated in BOA before) seem like both are finally moving up to Open Class in USBands great step to becoming more competitive. It would have been great if BOA wasn't during States would have loved to seem them. usbands.org/news/article.php?ID=104

The biggest factor for this one for how many VA bands we see is how it lines up with JMU Parade of Champions, because this regional was the same day as JMU last season, we didnt see bands such as Westfield or Independence go to this one when the may have otherwise gone, same applies to John Champe as all 3 bands have been mainstays at POC since their foundings. Notably, the line up with JMU probably doesnt affect Rock Ridge or Mclean, as those bands dont normally do JMU. If JMU goes back to its normal date, than their should be no conflict, but if it goes the same weekend as it did this season than we probably dont see as many VA bands

I would be excited to see Jefferson Forrest or Princess Anne, and where is Chantilly? Would love to see them back to doing BOA I know they doing good locally and out of state these past years and/or Loudoun County HS.

Chantilly used to compete in BOA quite a bit about 10 years ago I believe. They also were always signed up for WGI percussion events with us.

Given their success at VMBC State finals (consistently top 6), they would have a good shot at making finals. Same with Loudoun County, and Chantilly to a lesser degree. I don't think Princess Anne would do well, considering their size, but if Alter has taught us anything, it's that teeny tiny bands can do well in BOA too

I picked Princess Anne because I know they did really well in VMBC Finals: 2019 (3rd place), and 2021 (2nd place) beating Bassett, JF, Dominion, and Frank W. Cox, South County, and TJHSST and they were pretty small, I could be wrong but they usually don't do JMU and this isn't a populated Regional because of other event going on so they got a good chance on finals. Hickory is another VA Band I would want to see as well.

I sadly dont expect any VA bands at this event, due to Liberty University's Football schedule, it appears that VMBC state championships will be on this date, so unless the venue for VMBC is changed(which would shock me) I cant expect any VA bands to be here.

Can Confirm VMBC Championships are this date, so the only VA bands I could see going are those they skip states, Loudon County is still a possibility as I have yet to see them compete in anything VMBC, and some other schools maybe possible but I won't speculate until a schedule for VMBC is posted

Well it's more likely to make finals here than anywhere close to them. Probably true but still a long shot. East Lincoln is usually their more successful sister.

East Lincoln had that great star show in 2014, (I actually saw it at the 2014 North Lincoln Roundtable and was pretty wowed) and they had Kevin Morrison (Crown guy now Lambert guy) as their director before he went over to Catawba Ridge with Martin Dickey (before the AK crew came in). I also think they were second to DB/ Summerville at WCU at least once before covid... but i'd have to research that
