Think we really need a thread with people posting some of the most outstanding / game-changing moves, tosses, spins, etc. from individual guard members. Short clips or stunning in the moment pics would be awesome to see. I know there are hundreds of shows I & many others probably won't get the opportunity to & would love to experience... Let's see what y'all got!

Ok, I'll play! Here's a highlight video I've found from 2019. For me, one of the best moves occurs around the 0:22 mark where she catches the rifle on his shoulders. That was an incredible show to watch live.

Flanagans 2012 show will always get me feeling some type of way, but from 4:00 to 4:16 is an incredible moment IMO!

Sometimes I wonder if the Avon designers/director think, "What is the most ridiculous theme we can think of and still dominate?"

The last rifle toss of Carmel's 2015 winter guard show, "Omega." Incredibly risky, especially for the last toss of the show. One of the most memorable moments for me in the past several years. A completely high risk/high reward move that thankfully worked out for them. Watch HereThis is kind of a bizarre one to bring up, but Rhythm X's 2009 show, "Touch," where one of the snares finishes a solo and flips a stick to a tenor player, then has it flipped back towards him with minimal time to track it since he was facing backwards. To add even more risk, this was all while he was executing drill facing backwards, and the stick was tossed directly in front of the face of another snare player (who didn't even flinch). It wasn't even caught by the snare player's free hand - it was his hand already holding his other stick. While watching this live, several people in the audience initially thought this wasn't scripted because of the audacity that someone would actually write this into a show. People thought the first toss was a thumb roll that got away from him and he accidentally bailed on the trick by tossing the stick in the tenor player's direction, only to have the tenor player flip it back to him behind his back as a recovery. It was obvious soon after that it was intentional, but for something so simple they ran a huge risk of it not working and having the moment completely dampen the mood and intended reaction/effect. In an otherwise iconic show, something about this little moment continues to stand out in all time best WGI percussion moments. Watch Here
