Blow it up start again is always great, it was part of Westfield (VA) 2019, Breaking Barriers, which is the show I credit with cementing my love of marching band

Millard West is my top band so far. That was a very entertaining show and very well played.

The opener flags were also used in the opener of another iconic "train" show, being the Woodlands' 2013 Grand National Champ-winning "Crossing Boundaries" in case anyone was wondering AND THE CLOSER FLAGS TOO HOLY COW MILLARD CAME FOR THE WHOLE WEAVE Snatched, ate, left no crumbs. One of my favorites this season.

AND SPEAKING GREAT SONG SELECTION. The use of Florence x the Machine's "Shake It Out" as an 11th hour flute solo is INSPIRED. Especially because the lyrics in the section of the song they chose to adapt begin with "regrets collect like old friends..." Fitting into the vintage motif perfectly. Bravo, Hernando One of my favorite songs ever 🥰 I wish they’d played even more of it. Manifesting more Florence ballads in the future 🤞🏻

Man Morton's brass is clean.
I still prefer last year's show, but it's clear that last year was no fluke and that the ensemble is only improving. Hopefully they continue this upward trajectory next at Grand Nats!

Let’s set the Bar for the Finals, Bentonville. (Yes, I am biased because I love them as y’all love your favorite.) So proud of you. Play with Joy!🌻💛

Love the show from Morton! Lots of great things going on. Clean up some of the smaller things and they'll be rocking and rolling at Grand Nationals.

It still amazes me how strong the bottom half of finals are at these Super Regional shows! After the first 7, here's my personal rankings that will probably be way off:
1. Millard West 2. Blue Springs South 3. Morton 4. Germantown 5. Hernando 6. Lindbergh 7. Bentonville West

Last year I thought Morton was a powerhouse in the making. They may already be there? There's no doubt in my mind they're winning AA at GN this year. That performance was SO clean with two weeks left to go.

Oh I may already be in love with Bentonville after only the opening hit. Such lush chords, powerful brass, deep and dark lows. And that GUARD.
