Neat little northeast Ohio band that made a huge leap forward last season in OMEA. Hope to see them do well. I donāt think theyāve done BOA since 2021?

I wonder why though

Arguably easier to control (especially if you're switching trumpet players to it), arguably sounds somewhat like a mellophone at times... it's a choice I wouldn't make, but also one I can make sense of.

With the Dayton regional pretty much gone for good, hopefully last years attendance will continue for years to come š tbh I think they should've moved the Dayton regional to like Cinci or smth If I had $1 for every time you mentioned Beavercreek or wishing there would be a regional in Cincinnati, I would be able to afford guacamole on my burrito bowl at Chipotle. š

That's a great investment.

Confirmed: Lakota West HS, OH Source: Band Calendar imagine if they win a 4th time in a row lol Unless Kiski or some unexpected outsider shows up, Iād say itās pretty much already in their hands. With Campbell Countyās continued growth over the last few years, I could see them being a potential dark horse for an upset. They were 2nd to Lakota West in 2022, but with a pretty decent gap separating the two, and Lakota West also keeps getting better. Curious to see how that gap opens or closes this year!

Not gonna lieā¦ itās crazy that we can say this in February but West will probably take the win at this regional. 4 for 4ā¦ not an easy feat! Only possible bands that could knock that would maybe be Homestead, Jenison, maaaaybe Centerville. Majority of those guys will be at other places, and considering we are well into the winter monthsā¦ highly doubt we will see a surprise competitor pop up. Campbell could give them a scare, but west has been on an impressive rise over the lastā¦ what, 5 or 6 years? From making semis in ā19 to now getting 10th at Indy Super over a crazy bubble of finalist competitorsā¦ I just donāt see CCounty magically beating them. Who knows, though! Iād like to see another hyper competitive Central Ohio Regional like last year.

I think Jenison's schedule is finalized (Toledo and Grand Nationals). I'd love for some surprises to show up here. There's never really been any new blood here in a while, save for Lindbergh and Reeths-Puffer (normally at Toledo) last year.

Itās just figuring out if realistically theyāll show their faces. I know for fact William Mason would never show up āthis earlyā in the season, Kiski is content with their current schedule, and the list goes on.
