Mine just auto-renewed to the tune of $150 for the next year, because I wasn't paying attention. Don't be me. If you were on a yearly plan, check the dates and make sure you cancel before they renew it for the season.

Well, I hope I just kept someone on the payroll for another day or two... I emailed them and asked them to cancel the renewal, and the best they would do was switch it to a $29.95 monthly subscription and then cancel it. So I just got charged $29.95 instead of the full $150. So that's better.

I thought about cancelling but decided that the $12.50/month wasnβt enough of a deterrent for me. I listen to Flo Radio, I like watching some of the archived stuff, and I hope that they will have some BOA archival video to show this fall.

Immediate cancellation citing reasons why has resulted in a full refund for some other folks I've encountered. The reasons are clear: they are unable to deliver content to warrant even the monthly fee at this point.
When in a bind, dispute the charges with your bank. "I don't know what this is." If they provide details and say it was an authorized purchase, "I didn't agree to renewal because the content is not what I signed up for."

It kinda sucked that I started my subscription during the last day of Grand Nats 2019. Once Grand Nats ended I was looking forward to WGI and DCI but you know Covid had other plans. I wish they could just give us at least an extra 6 months or something. I basically paid $150 to watch a podcast and mini films...π€¦π»ββοΈ

The quality of what they do is average - at best. Their live event production is laughably bad. Maybe they'll fold & someone else will jump in. I hope FLO folds as a result of this. They're terrible. Their live productions are terrible and they even somehow find a way to screw up local broadcasts they stream to wider ranges. I certainly wouldn't lose any sleep over them going away.

I think FLO tries to do too much. It is obvious to me that they are spread way too thin. I believe they are based in Austin & I recall interacting with a few of their people over the years. Not a very mature company overall (Just the vibe I got was the more open kegs in the workplace mentality). Low pay, inexperienced talent (that's OK I suppose), but little in terms of pre-production. You see it at BOA Nats. Sure, they certainly try to do what others haven't been able to, but it's so obvious how overmatched their crew is at times. It actually isn't that difficult to capture a marching band event, but they manage to suck every single time. Audio all over the map. Videographers who appear to have stumbled in off the streets of Downtown Indy. High school production teams could do a similar job. And that is not a compliment. Canceled a while ago so didnβt get the month charge. The biggest problem I have with flo is the 720p, come on letβs at least get to 1080p. Other than that I like them but agree they do seem spread thin. However I think if they had bette management being spread thin might not be an issue.

Can we get the Box5 video people already?!
Thankfully I remembered to cancel my Flo subscription last month before it renewed again. Hopefully I will need it again next February.

This part sounds interesting at least... With an eye on 2021, FloSports has invested in new technologies that will deliver a completely new broadcast viewing experience for drum corps and marching arts fans. FloSports is one of the first OTT platforms to offer unique and engaging in-app experiences including the brand new Watch Party feature integrated into the app by FloSportsβ technology partner, LiveLike. The feature includes an on-screen chat function running alongside the live stream allowing drum corps fans to discuss various shows and programs directly with each other, FloMarching hosts and influencers in real-time β analyzing show design, music arrangements and more. Fans can even set up Watch Parties with friends so they can watch their favorite shows together. The feature also allows for a simultaneous secondary live stream of events paired with video and live chat utilizing leading drum corps and performance arts experts discussing shows directly with fans β bringing an entirely new and unique experience to the subscribers only on FloMarching! These exciting features can also offer other new applications including instructional opportunities, training and more.

I agree with Dan Box5 is the best we probably have. Flo could get there if they wanted to hopefully they improve.
