Possibility: East Syracuse-Minoa H.S., NY - (4day event) Source: ESM HS Band Calendar This would be interesting to see! They've medaled in their class at the NYSFBC championships from 2014-2019 (including wins in 2015 and 2017), but they've been a little less successful post-pandemic. I'm curious how they'd do here. My guess is they'd be in the mix with the various Ohio schools towards the bottom of the rankings, though there's an outside chance they could land in the bottom half of finals. They did compete in the VMBC competition "Oakton Classic" in the first week of October of last year. But they got last place in their group and second to last in States. Considering the numbers after recovering from COVID, they could come close to making finals. But it depends on the bands who are coming. However, I do agree with ur assessment, so I hope luck is on their shoulder if they decide to go. Oakton ClassicGroup 5: 84.550: Westfield, VA (Best M, V, and GE) (Best CG and Perc) 78.350: Lake Braddock, VA 76.650: Chantilly, VA Group 4: 75.150: Fairfax, VA (Best M and GE) 73.500: Yorktown, VA (Best V) (Best CG and Perc) Group 3: 75.050: George C. Marshall, VA (Best M, V, and GE) (Best CG and Perc) 70.050: Washington Liberty, VA 67.450: Alexandria City, VA 65.400: Colonial Forge, VA Group 2: 69.000: Mt. Vernon, VA (Best M, V, and GE) 66.500: East Syracuse Mineoa, NY (Best CG and Perc) Group 1: 65.000: Annandale, VA (Best M, V, and GE) (Best CG) 59.850: Thomas Edison, VA (Best Perc)

Your top 3 is, as of right now, Norwin, Jenison, and Rockford. You decide the order
Good luck

Well if CNS is coming and has a 4-day event blocked off on their calendar, then it’s pretty safe to assume EMS will be here too as they also have a 4-day event listed on their calendar.

My non-bias, band nerd mind says, we will see, because I just don’t know.

Rockford as top 3 Jenison did really well last year, if they can keep it up I think they can win, unless a high caliber band shows up later because it is only May, I wouldn’t be surprised.

Nice to see this regional get a little more participants. Bring in Centerville, Lake Park, Northmont and bring Westerville South, Flushing and Marietta back into BOA at this regional and it would be just like the good ol days.

Hopefully we can get a few more to show up, otherwise this is going to be an “all bands make finals” type of show.

CONFIRMED: Lebanon H.S., OH Source: Percussion Director Job Posting Oooooh, I think it’s been a while since they’ve done a regional! If I’m not mistaken they usually only do Grand Nationals if they do BOA at all.

AS OF 06/12/2023... The "Potential/Rumored" list consists of bands who either participated in 2022 but NOT the most recent year prior, OR, bands that did not participate this show in the 2022 season, but DID the most recent year prior. This of course is in addition to any bands that are rumored to participate in 2023.... Potential/Rumored: Angola H.S., IN Nordonia H.S., OH Parkersburg South H.S., WV Springfield H.S., OHSt. Edward H.S., OH Victor H.S., NY
Springfield (from the Toledo suburb of Holland) is hosting an OMEA contest that day, so I think you can rule them out.

I think it’s either jenison or centerville this year with Norwin In third an Rockford in 4th Honestly, I feel like Norwin could take a step above Centerville, making the top 4 Jenison, Norwin, Centerville, and then Rockford. This competition is still anyone’s game, as long as they’ve got a strong show that will make a statement!

Rockford (has a shot at 1st) 4. Norwin (once again, see above) 5. Plymouth-Canton 6. Campbell County I think the Top 4 are safely ahead of the rest of the field. Any one of the 4 could win IMO, but I think Centerville has the edge right now. Would not be surprised for 1-4 to be separated by less than 2 pts.

They didn’t start too hot last year, so, while unlikely, if that trend continues, I could see a case for 5th and 6th doing a little switchypoo.

Plymouth-Canton 7. Campbell County I'm feeling really good about Lake Orion this year especially after getting 2nd at mcba last year over a good Walled Lake, but PCEP could definitely jump back up this year and place 5th. Also the top 4 all could win with a good performance but I think Centerville and Jenison are definitely in the top 3 at least.
