A very hearty welcome to srv1084 , the newest member of the 1,000 Post Club! srv1084 has long been a member of the online pageantry arts discussion community, going back even to the heyday of the old forums hosted by BOA. Our resident New England expert started their music career on saxophone before migrating to horn/mellophone by the time high school came around. A member of multiple ensembles at Dartmouth HS (MA), including both marching band and (WGI World class medalist) indoor percussion (taking up the marimba to round out the woodwind/brass/percussion trifecta). Participation in the performing arts didn't end there, as srv1084 continued into the marching band (RIP BU Football), pep band, and indoor percussion at Boston University, eventually leading and teaching with the IO percussion group. Like many of us, srv1084 now gets their fix as a fan of marching band, drum corps, and winter indoor, over the years becoming increasingly interested in the guard side of WGI as well. srv1084 now spends their days in finance and is an advocate for workplace equity and inclusion as well as networking and educational opportunities for LGBTQ+ finance professionals. Congratulations on 1,000 posts, and here's to all still to come!

1000 HR posts metaphorically may be just a haphazardly thrown trophy on top of a humongous heap, but HR is always glad and thankful as ever to have you on these forums still!

Is that thrown trophy anything like throwing babies? Perhaps srv1084 is the best individual to verify. Congrats on reaching the milestone.

Thanks all! Mention of the old BOA forums brings back memories. I think I first joined those way back in 1999-2000 and I remember discussing the live broadcast of 2000 GNs, which wasn't so much a live broadcast as much as a series of pictures refreshing every 5 seconds due to a dial-up modem. Am I showing my age?
