Now listed on the schedule as "Pacific Northwest." Could this be the long awaited return of the Moscow ID regional? Aged like fine wine

They will most likely plan their home show around BOA, from what I have heard. I think we could see up to double the participation next year.

They’ve lowered fees to encourage more bands to register. Hopefully it works, they’re hoping to get up to 15.

They’ve lowered fees to encourage more bands to register. Hopefully it works, they’re hoping to get up to 15. That's the same technique used when registration for Grand Nationals is low. It's also why there are so many small bands from Ohio (and to a lesser extent Indiana) at GN many years - those bands sign up once the lower-cost option is made available.

I feel comfortable calling this an attendee: Centennial H.S., ID (calendar shows "Out of Area Marching Contest" for October 11-13 and this is out of their area) Not on the list of 7 I was sent today. Perhaps they’re attending another out-of-state show?

They should in Class 3A: But they are on the edge ≈30 kids They placed 2nd again in the Idaho III Mel Shelton Championships (this video was early season)
They won District III 2022
They placed 2nd in 2021 District III with a score of 92.493

So no Eagle for right now, but good to see a Tri City school (Chiawana) sign up!
Also, I think Eagle will be here, as they were on a list sent to one of my sources by Cam Stasa herself. They probably just have not paid yet.

I've been doing some research on Eastside Catholic since I've never seen them So, I read a 2013 article about them. If you want to read some Eastside Catholic lore on your own:www.issaquahreporter.com/news/the-new-crusade-eastside-catholic-marching-band-revived-after-25-years/Apparently, their vice principle, Matt Eisenhauer, who was the former band director of Newport HS marching band asked the music teacher, Philip Dungey, if he wanted to revive their marching band. After it was disbanded though it's not clear when it happened, but it is believed their drill designer/dance instructor, Karen Skoog, who work there since their establishment in 1980 through the late 1980s took a sabbatical and since nobody took her position for the time. The program just collapses, and once she returned in 1989, the marching band program was already gone. Philip Dungey had doubted the band could be something with a few dozen members, so he was detruded by the idea of starting a marching band unless it wasn't more than 100 members. However, when he attended the Midwest Orchestra Clinic in Chicago where he met his old college roommate Brian Van Kley, who was the assistant band director at Naperville North at the time but now is the director at Batavia, showed him a video of Jackson Academy, MS which really inspired him. To see a band with that size perform at a high level, so he was determined to start one. He reinstated the band back in 2013 performing in football games and parades where they even won their first parade at the Issaquah Salmon Days Parade after 25 years of not competing. In 2014 they competed in the BOA Tacoma, WA Regional winning Class 1A but placed last. 17. 55.80: Ingraham, WA (AA-9) 18. 53.75: Shelton, WA (AA-10) 19. 51.30: Eastside Catholic School, WA (A-1)They haven't competed after 2014 just mostly played in football games, parades, and at Band Day at Tacoma UW in 2018

This is a cool one for me. I know so little about the scene in the PNW. I hope attendance is good. Also, someone call Magrath. Yes! That name brings back serious memories.

I marched in the last BOA (MBA) regional held in Moscow at the Kibbie Dome in 1985 as one of the drum majors of the Hermiston Band. It was my junior year. I've sent a message to the current booster organization to see if we can get them to sign up. They would be the only band that would be a "returning" band at this point as most of the schools on the list now didn't either exist or had no marching band at that time--at least not one that did anything but parades.
