I saw Kickapoo last weekend at Renegade Review in Tulsa. Fun show. Very cute, but major overuse of voice work. They sounded well, and drill was clean.

I thought Kickapoo was great! Their drill really only had them squished on side 2 but other than that very enjoyable

As always, a great percussion group from Union. The show is very Haltom 2017, but I do like the theme overall. I don't think it's as clean as I'm used to seeing and hearing from them.

Union looking a little smaller than usual? Cool show much like the woodlands vibe this yr

Union was very enjoyable. Their drumline is world class now, and they're certainly playing like it. Did they get a bit smaller? Their winds were around 110 by my count, and I feel like they usually field 140-160 winds.

Not as clean as previous Union shows. They are still a great band and will be in the finals tomorrow night.

For the love of god, let your kids put their horns down for a bit if you're fooling around with the electronics set up! Poor kids in low brass were at playing position the entire time.

I really enjoyed Air Academy and Grain Valley, I hope to see atleast one them tomorrow night! I think Union was fantastic! I wonder if they could challenge Blue Springs!?

Pretty show, reminds me of world of wonder Hebron 2013. I wonder if this is a young ish group there are some small musical and visual mistakes I didn’t notice from them last yr

I enjoyed Blue Springs very much. It just doesn't live up to last year's production. I was spoiled. Lol. Great job, though!

Pretty show, reminds me of world of wonder Hebron 2013. I wonder if this is a young ish group there are some small musical and visual mistakes I didn’t notice from them last yr I was thinking the same thing. They're another band that also looks smaller. I don't think they're weak this year by any means, but they didn't quite capture the same magic as last year in this year's production. Then again, it's hard to top last year. That show was an absolute masterpiece. However, with their theme this year I feel they really could have given us more of that Blue Springs flair.

Reminds me of CTJ's show a couple years ago. I think the visuals are excellent, but the musicality just okay. I saw Blue Springs in BOA Iowa. Rosemount beat them in prelims and thought they beat them again in Finals. I still think Rosemount's show is better after seeing both full shows now but I'm not a judge. =)

It will be interesting at the top here that’s for sure. Rosemount definitely has a shot wide open to grab second if they’re firing on all cylinders. It is still a stock Cartwright show but it’s performed at a very high level, I’d say probably at least as good as Blue Springs. I wonder if Bell (another Cartwright creation) could snag second...🧐 really not sure. As of right now I’d still put Blue Springs in second but they have a fleet of hungry sharks right behind them haha

What bands from today shocked/impressed you all the most?

Blue Springs had an good prelims performance tonight. It’s really hard to compare this show to last years show. But if you compare it to their show 2 years ago, Burtonized, you can see quite the difference in the production of the program.

Camdenton beat Marian in prelims, then proceeded to beat O'Fallon in the Finals at BOA Iowa capturing the bronze in the process. I love where this program is going. We'll see them again tonight.

I think Camdentons show would be much better if you could hear the group over the speakers they have turned all the way up. Really kills the show to me

It’s going to be interesting who takes 2nd-4th place... between Rosemount, Blue Springs and LD Bell in my opinion, but it all depends on the remaining performances by the bands. What do you guys think?

Performance block 2 will be a barn burner, with LD Bell, Haltom, and Rosemount right beside each other.

Coppell just gave us the proverbial don't mess with Texas sign. They're not even in HornRanks Top 32 and they are that good. Wow! Great job Coppell.

Bixby’s show is kind of generic to me but wow can those kids march and play!! Visual is just super refined and super clean! With all of Texas here though, I do see them in the bottom half.

Did anyone think that Granite City did well enough yesterday to have a chance at cracking the top 14?
