We can add in a very new face for this regional, John B. Alexander! Oh wow that's definitely a new face! I'm very excited to see how they do here, I really dug their show last year.

This contest is looking like it's going to be just as competitive as last year, if not more! We've got 9 out of the top 12 groups confirmed already, missing only Leander, James Bowie, and Clements. None of them have released their schedules as of yet, so they still might show up (especially Clements who hasn't missed a single year of this contest).
On top of that already stacked lineup, we have some new faces who will be very strong contenders as well in Dripping Springs and John B. Alexander. TMC is gonna be awesome this year, no matter what happens there will be surprises on who misses finals.

So is this pretty much the best non-BOA show in Texas?

So is this pretty much the best non-BOA show in Texas? UIL 6a State championship will be the best non- BOA show in Texas! 😎

I hope to see Leander back at TMC again this year. The date should certainly work for us. We always have our March A Thon the weekend after BOA Austin, and there is definitely a weekend between BOA and TMC, so fingers crossed!
Very excited to see JB Alexander signed up for this one. It has definitely become the most competitive non BOA/UIL marching contest in the country IMHO.

Wish we could get Flo or someone to stream these independent contests. While that would be nice, with four BOA regionals that day I doubt it would be worth it to them for the extra production costs to spread their viewership even thinner.

Bowie seems to have their full fall schedule on the calendar now, no TMC so that probably frees up one finalist spot.

I probably worded that a bit weird. So what he meant was that he doesn't want to do an extra contest with area and State. As they are weeks apart it shouldn't affect the schedule yes. But having another contest with Austin, Waco, and San antonio. TMC for us kinda filled the hole for non state years. So expect them to be back in 2021 for TMC.

No Leander. That’s disappointing. But it’s a free weekend at least so I’ll be able to attend!
