Of course, I (and at least a few others) believe NO band is confirmed to be participating in a particular event until the official lists come out. Just because something is on a calendar doesn't mean it's definitely happening. There have been examples in recent years of more bands registering for a given event than the event can accept (even with expanding beyond the "official" limit). It's not uncommon for San Antonio, has happened for Grand Nationals, and we see examples of bands switching from their planned event to another every year (especially within Texas). |

I wouldn’t blame Pearland for dropping they trip this year, lots and lots of Texan bands making the trip creating a very tough entry to finals. For such a growing program a semifinals finish at their first nationals wouldn’t fare well for motivation.
Not saying Pearland can’t make national finals, because they likely can it’s just going to be very difficult next year, and they’re on the lower half of the bubble rather than the top with Avon, Carmel, Mason, Tarpon Springs, Blue Springs , Woodlands and CTJ all likely taking spots with a near guarantee. It leaves a very slim road.

as I did in 2019, I have created a Facebook page for the Texas bands going to Grand Nationals in 2021. there are currently 7 bands that have had members confirm that they will be attending in 2021 and that may likely increase in the coming months. the site has all the Texas BOA events loaded.
the page is designed so that all the bands can post updates and photos from the marching season as they prepare for Indy. it was a great deal of fun and lots of great posts as we saw all 6 bands of Team Texas advance to the Grand Nats Finals. if you would like to join the group -
